In 1860, a very wealthy, privileged, superstar cricket player and highly educated man, C.T. Studd, gave up his list of privileges to a lifetime of missions in China, India and Africa. Where does a fire like this come from? Where is this fire ignited? Where is it founded and flamed? In the PRESENCE of God. Not every one is called to China, but all of us need an encounter in the PRESENCE of God. The impact of this fire is people worshipping God.

Why and how do we bring our fire? Jesus called us to be His witnesses, of what he is doing in our lives individually and corporately. How do we witness, by devoting ourselves to lifelong learning, to fellowship, to breaking of bread together and praying together.

Week 3, Bring Your Fire: Faithfully and Carefully. Both of our passages of Scripture is the apostle Paul speaking. Carefully meaning that we have to “take heed” how we use our gift to build. We build carefully on the Gospel foundation. Faithfully meaning that we endure till the end; we bring our fires all the way to the finish line. In both of these (faithfully and carefully) - there is an eternal reward.

"So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord".... Paul's encouragement to Timothy and to us. Discouragement, fear, comparison and sin can often be the reason for feelings of shame and the reason that we do not fully operate in the gifts which God has given us. May this message be an encouragement and a catalyst to overcome these strongholds and to "fan into flame" the gift which God has placed inside of each of us for His Kingdom and His glory. #BringYourFire

Bring your fire WEEK 1: In today’s sermon, we recognize that God has given each of us a different grace that displays in different gifts. These gifts are to be used with a “heart condition” that honors God and edifies His Church. How can you respond today to this sermon?

The return of Jesus is meant to produce urgency, holiness, and preparation, not speculation. The proper response is not speculation—but holy, intentional living with eternal perspective.

Progressive sanctification is the work of God to make us more free from sin and more like Christ in our daily lives. This process of growth has the aim of setting apart believers for the purpose for which they are sent into the world. Although grace is the power behind the process, we cooperate with the Spirit by establishing spiritual disciplines in our lives. The Gospel is what allows us to say, "I am accepted, therefore I obey"! Enjoy this teaching on the Doctrine of Sanctification.

We live in a “non grace” culture, but we can live a life of grace; because we serve a gracious God that extended grace to us first. Sacraments are visible reminders of this grace that we have received, God taking the penalty and punishement on our behalf so that we can step into relationship with Him. Baptism and Communion are these visible signs of this grace we have received.

In this teaching, look at the Church—God’s people and God’s plan. Scripture reveals the church as a body, a bride, a family, and a holy priesthood—each showing who we are and how we are called to live. We are not just gathered; we are empowered and sent.
