This week Timothy F. Bryson hops on the pod to tell his story and how he is walking in his purpose.

Tim is a Cincinnati native, where he attends St. Xavier High School before going on to compete as a D1 Track and Field athlete at Costal Carolina University before transferring to the University of South Carolina where he studied Athletic Training.

He always knew he was destined for much more than being an athletic trainer - which is why he furthered his education at The Ohio State University by earning a masters degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Upon graduating, Tim spent time with the NCAA as a post graduate intern in the Leadership Department.

Currently, future Dr. Bryson is working on his PhD at the University of Maryland in Student Affairs while serving as the Program Director for Student Athlete Career Development. Every day Tim walks with purpose and makes a difference.

Outside of his work at UMD, Tim is the Founder and President of Walk With TFB, LLC. Which is a declaration to identify passion, inspire vision, and walk with purpose. He is also the host of the Walk With TFB Podcast in which he is a black millennial who is having unfiltered conversations with anthemic people centered on education, sport, and culture.

Season Three, Episode Five

This week we are taking a dive into Dr. Christian E. Gausvik - who is a primary care physician in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Christian grew up in Northern Kentucky, but during his junior year of high school his family moved across the country. This pivotal moment defined a lot in Christian’s story, which ultimately lead him back to Cincinnati where he obtained his bachelors degree from Xavier University and attended Med School at the University of Cincinnati.

During this conversation, we learn about Christian’s story and how he founded the Giving Voice Foundation, but most importantly we learn about what ignytes his why and the currently work he is doing in the medical field to help with the advancement of LGBTQ care and access.

Lauren Volzer was born and raised in Vermillion, Ohio - which is a small town between Cedar Point and Cleveland, Ohio. Currently, Lauren is a senior at the University of Cincinnati where she studies Sport Administration with a double minor in Marketing and Business Administration.

As a young professional, she has many years of experience working in sports. Landing roles with UC’s Athletic Department, FC Cincinnati, and most recently Northern Kentucky University. Lauren intends to pursue her MBA upon graduating in May of 2022.
