This week we have the honor to speak with the wonderful Emily Hoskins.

Emily was born and raised in Covington, KY. Upon graduating from Holmes High School she went on to Northern Kentucky University where she obtained her bachelors degree in Integrative Studies. Her degree is very unique as it focuses on three components - Women’s Studies, French, and Music.

Emily is currently an environmental science teacher for Skool Aid, but it was not until she attended Graduate School where she found her true calling. Emily earned her Masters Degree in Biology from Miami University (OH).

We had the honor to sit down and speak with Mr. Deion Delgado this week on Ignyte Your Why Podcast.

Deion was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio but it was not until he got to college where he truly learned who he was. Growing up Deion felt he had to live to please others, but he later learned that in order to truly be happy he needed to live for himself.

Currently, Deion is the Owner, Brand Consultant and Content Creator for his company Delgado Nation. Deion started his business in 2015 before moving to Chicago for three years. In 2018, Deion moved back to his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

On top of running is business, Deion is also the co-host of Mindfully Modern Podcast which is actually set to launch on all streaming platforms next month (March). While Deion may be a busy man, he took the time out of his busy schedule to tell us his story.

This week we have the honor to sit down and speak with Cynthia Baker.

Cynthia was born in Lexington, KY but when she was six months old, her family moved back to Covington, KY where she was raised. Cynthia graduated from Holmes High School - which is the oldest high school in the state of KY. At a young age, she found her passion for teaching by helping out at Sunday school.

Upon graduating from Holmes, Cynthia went on to obtain her bachelors degree and masters degree from Northern Kentucky University. She also went on to earn a certification in instructional technology.

She has spent over 28 years in education as a teacher. 18 of those years were in Covington Independent Public Schools - a school system where she attended herself. Leaving the district was not an easy decision, but opened the door for other opportunities as she branched out to another school district.

Cynthia recently retired from teaching - for a whole 17 HOURS!! Then, decided she wanted to give a chance at teaching in a private school. Currently, she is teaching at Blessed Sacrament School in Fort Mitchell, KY!

During this episode we take a deep dive into Cynthia’s education background, but also her relationship with Jesus. Most importantly, we learn about what truly ignytes her why.

This week we have the honor to hear Tiffany Mayse tell her story.

If you went to Northern Kentucky University or go to NKU - I am sure you know who Tiffany is. Some people call her Ms. NKU! Tiffany has spent over 22 years as an employee at NKU. Currently she is the Director for Student Engagement.

Tiffany was raised in Northern Kentucky herself. Upon graduating from Newport Central Catholic. As a first generation college student - college was a huge learning experience for Tiff. She went on to attend NKU herself where she obtained her BA in Psychology and Speech Communication. It was then she realized her passion for higher education and student engagement.

During her tenure at NKU, Tiffany took the opportunity to further her education by earning her Masters of Public Administration all while she continued to make a difference on NKU’s campus (and still does).

We’re back and this week we have the honor of speaking with the one and only Elly Ogle!

Elly was born and raised in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. Growing up she was very well known for her athletic ability. She was a star volleyball player and 1000 point scorer on the basketball court at Notre Dame Academy.

Upon graduating in 2014, Elly attended Louisiana State University on a volleyball scholarship. After one season with the Tigers, she decided to finish her volleyball career back home at the University of Cincinnati; where she obtained her bachelors degree in Business Administration - Marketing.

Elly then accepted a graduate assistant position at Thomas More College - now known as Thomas More University - and a stint as the head coach for the volleyball team. In 2019, Elly graduated with her Masters in Business Administration as well. Currently, Elly is a marketing specialist for EPIC - a Results Agency.

During this conversation, we learn about Elly’s experience as a student athlete and how she found her passion for digital marketing along her journey.

This week we have the honor to learn more about the phenomenal story of Mr. Kick Lee.

Kick was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio - but his childhood was mostly spent in the Foster Care system. Despite the obstacles he faced growing up, one thing stayed consistent - his passion for music.

Mr. Lee obtained his associates degree in Communication Design before earning his Bachelors Degree in Music Production. He has over sixteen years of experience working in the music industry and has had his musical works licensed and places in advertisements with brands such as Disney, Toyota, Samsung and many more.

Currently, Kick is the Founder and Executive Director of Cincinnati Music Accelerator which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. CMA is Ohio’s first music career accelerator organization focused on making Cincinnati a music city through job placement and education.

Over the last 4 years, CMA has grown tremendously and continues to flourish. Since opening, CMA has served 185 musicians each year, $100K paid to musicians, and serves 10 different communities. Kick Lee’s passion for music and the work he does is truly commendable. Breaking down barriers for musicians any way possible.

This week we take a deep dive into the phenomenal story of Jay York.

Jay was born and raised in Covington, KY by his beautiful mother - Michelle York. His mother has played a huge role in his life, as she is one of his biggest supporters. Until his later years of high school, Jay felt he never had a role model that every kid needs. Which is why he lives every day in his purpose by writing his own story.

Jay is a proud graduate of Holmes High School; upon graduating in 2017 he headed off to Lindsay Wilson College on a football scholarship. As a first generation student, college was a huge chapter in Jay’s story. After one year at LWC, Jay decided to transfer to Western Kentucky University where he just recently graduated with a double major in Criminology and Sociology.

Throughout his journey in life, Jay has experienced many lessons and he currently is using his voice to help others as a motivational speaker. In the meantime, Jay is an entrepreneur and is in the process of rebranding his clothing line.

This week Timothy F. Bryson hops on the pod to tell his story and how he is walking in his purpose.

Tim is a Cincinnati native, where he attends St. Xavier High School before going on to compete as a D1 Track and Field athlete at Costal Carolina University before transferring to the University of South Carolina where he studied Athletic Training.

He always knew he was destined for much more than being an athletic trainer - which is why he furthered his education at The Ohio State University by earning a masters degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Upon graduating, Tim spent time with the NCAA as a post graduate intern in the Leadership Department.

Currently, future Dr. Bryson is working on his PhD at the University of Maryland in Student Affairs while serving as the Program Director for Student Athlete Career Development. Every day Tim walks with purpose and makes a difference.

Outside of his work at UMD, Tim is the Founder and President of Walk With TFB, LLC. Which is a declaration to identify passion, inspire vision, and walk with purpose. He is also the host of the Walk With TFB Podcast in which he is a black millennial who is having unfiltered conversations with anthemic people centered on education, sport, and culture.
