Welcome to another episode of I'll Show You Mine! This week, James is showing Elyse "Sonic Adventure" for the Sega Dreamcast, released in 1998. It's been 20 whole years since this game came out so we're digging in on that starting line and getting ready to take off!
Some might say this game doesn't "hold up" and we would probably agree with them. But we still have plenty to say about Sonic and the Dreamcast system itself, so join us as we get into the nuts and bolts of what worked and didn't work about this game, how Sonic compares to a franchise like Mario, and what remains charming about the blue hedgehog's wild adventure into three dimensions.
Our next episode will be December 26th, when Elyse shows James "Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas" from 1977.

Welcome back to I'll Show You Mine! This week we're settling into those post-Thanksgiving cozy vibes with the family favorite, Uncle Buck.
We were ready for a little cooldown after the Halloween spooks and the raw intensity of Chrono Trigger so in this episode we're talking about those good good John Hughes feels, John Candy's greatness, and the characters of Buck and Tia making up the warm and fuzzy center of this simple, solid comedy.
Our next episode will be December 12th, when James shows Elyse "Sonic Adventure" for the Sega Dreamcast.

Welcome to I'll Show You Mine! This week, James shows Elyse the strange arcade classic Bubble Bobble (not to be confused with Puzzle Bobble, aka Bust-A-Move) as we wrap up another season.
In this episode we're discussing how procrastinating for an audio design class led James to discover this game, reveling in how old arcade style dungeon grinding can be satisfying and hilarious as hell, and exorcising some old demons about our respective college experiences.
Join us, and stay tuned for when we come back from our in-between seasons break in October!

Welcome to I'll Show You Mine! This week, Elyse shows James "Summer Magic" from 1963. Starring Hayley Mills, Burl Ives, and Dorothy McGuire in a good old fashioned tale about a down-on-their-luck family that moves to the country to live in their dream house after the death of their father.
There's music! There's family bonding! There's Burl Ives, who James has never heard of before. What?? Join us as we chat about this live action Disney fairy tale and get Sherman Brothers songs permanently stuck in our heads.

It's time again for an episode of I'll Show You Mine! This week, James shows Elyse Bomberman 64, for the Nintendo 64. Bomberman being an absolutely prolific bomb-centric franchise that Elyse has somehow never heard of. Take a listen for James' history lesson on The Bomberman, Elyse guessing entirely wrong at what year the movie "Ghost" came out (it was 1990, can you believe that?), and a lot of accidental explosions.

Welcome back to another episode of I'll Show You Mine! This week, we're going back to our roots with The Karate Kid, another classic sports movie that has a lot of similarities to the subject of our first episode, Rocky. How is it possible James has never seen this movie? We just don't know. But what we do know is The Karate Kid is awesome. We're talking about the classic mentor character of Mr. Miyagi, all the beautiful 80s tropes, how this movie helped popularize martial arts in the US, and of course, gotta shout out the "reboot" Cobra Kai on YouTube Red. Join us!
