This week we interview our first comedian Kevin Bartini on our twentieth episode! He rates our color ratio and therefore questions the grounds of our show.
— Kevin indulges Wali’s terrible Boston accent and teaches him that working a Boston accent is all about how you abuse the “R” sound.
— The boys get into Kevin’s journey as a comic, one he knew he was on since 6 years of age. He talks influences and working the clubs, all of which lead up to the release of his new album Showing the Horses Who’s Boss. His singular goal: just not to embarrass himself.
— The bottom line on atheism according to Kevin. He recounts a bit on growing up Catholic and tells the boys why being an altar boy was the best.
— Wali and Kevin on kids: just don’t have them.
— Kevin gives us an update on getting George Carlin Way named, that process, resolving the conflict with the Catholic church, getting the chance to engage with Carlin’s history, and hopefully being a part of history himself.
— Wali asks, shamelessly, if Jon Stewart has heard our podcast, since Kevin opens for the Daily Show and the Colbert Report. Speaking of podcasts, Kevin has his own hilarious creation: the Movie Preview Review, summing up a movie just by its preview.
— Kevin learned about 70 pages of manuscript in a fortnight to co-star in You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up. How’s that?
— Shining the camera, and quite possibly the first and last mention of Kevin Sorbo for 2014 (actually, he’s gonna be at Awesome Con 2014, so…)
