I'm Glad You Exist

On today's episode I'm joined by IFOTTP (International Friend of the Podcast), Chris Baker.

This is your quintessential, 'two friends catch-up after having not spoken for a while' podcast.

We talk about Chris' passion in cooking, the nuances and quirkiness of Chris' hometown, Rochester, and just have a good ol' chin wag about lots of stuff.

On today’s episode I’m joined by Christian Jegard.

He’s a musician turned comedy writer from Jersey, currently living in Brighton. Last year Christian was commissioned by ArtHouse Jersey to create a mocumentary about the Jersey music scene, aptly titled, ‘Jersey: A Musical Journey’. You can find links to the episodes below and I would strongly urge you to check them out asap; they're all fantastic.

New episode, new guest! This time round I'm joined by the owner of Phalanx FC, for my money, the foremost producer of premier quality jiu-jitsu gear.

Why am I talking to Chris? Well, other than representing and speaking to those who go their own direction in life (by starting their own business), his career history is fascinating and his perspectives on life through the jobs he's had are so palpable.

Chris speaks for himself better than I could here, so just settle into the episode and go on a journey with us.

Sam Livm is back on the podcast! This time the exceptionally talented photographer is talking about how it feels to have had his instagram account deleted for the third time, the nuance of the argument around censorship and what happens for himself and other creatives if instances of unfair bias keep putting independent content creators down.

It's chats about the role nude photography plays in an online space, why censorship ironically harms those it seeks to protect and how to embrace change in the age of the emotive online arguments.

Welcome back to I'm Glad You Exist!

On today's episode I'm joined by former Skills Jersey colleague, and more importantly, one of Jersey's best working photographers, Sophie Darwin.

Sophie's work has shined a light on what being a mother looks like in today's world, and she's accomplished this through soulful photography that is both visually beautiful but also deep, personal and empathetic.

Sophie is a beautiful soul in herself and it's a pleasure to chat to her about her career, the tribulations of starting a full-time freelance career during Covid and where the line is between the beauty of a life uncensored and protecting our community from bad people.

It's an intense conversation at times, but hopefully one that opens up some interesting perspectives for you.

Welcome back to I'm Glad You Exist!

On today's episode I'm joined by old school chum and Jersey-girl-done-good, Veronica Fulton.

Roni, as I always knew her, always knew she wanted to be a performer. From a young age it was what her focus and passion went into and it's why for the last 10 years she's been pursuing that dream. From residencies on cruise ships to football stadium cheerleader sets and working on London's Westend, Roni has an incredible resume to talk about.

Join us as we chat about finding contentment in life, bouncing back from bouncing related injuries, how grief shapes our worldview and what the life of a professional dancer is like.

Veronica has also just launched a new business called, Duplex Training - Align and Power. It's herself and her London-based friend and fellow performer, Emily, taking you through an online, personalised programme of health and wellness - "our 6 week programme will help you to understand how your body works and achieve your fitness goals".

Check out https://fultonfundamentals.com/duplex-training for more info

If you're in Jersey you can train with Veronica in person at www.ouenpilates.com

Excessive Rumination is GONE! Out of the ashes comes a new podcast, one that is eerily similar to what came before it - I'm Glad You Exist!

Each episode I'm joined by someone with a story to tell and something to impart to you, dear listener.

This time I'm joined by a man I'm glad to call a good friend, and easily the scariest, yet nicest, dude I know; Liam McGeary

Liam is a former undisputed Light-Heavyweight MMA champion, who defended his belt in a spectacular performance against mixed martial arts legend, Tito Ortiz.

I'm Glad he Exists because of the incredible journey he's been on, the hardships he's faced and the lessons he's learnt along the way. He's an open book with much of his life and the value in listening to him tell us about what this lifestyle is like, both good and bad, is why he's here.
