I'm Glad You Exist

LISTENER WARNING: This is EASILY the most tangent filled episode we've done yet.

Topics unrelated to Housewives of Jersey include - Steven Segal, the logic of glory holes, practicalities of a Jersey to London mile-high club and what fish Ollie deigns to eat.

What's not to love? We also talk about episode 7 'Life's a Drag' of The Real Housewives of Jersey in vivid, excruciating detail.

Join co-hosts Ollie Watts and John Liot as they tediously flick through the inflight magazine of reality TV and check in at the 1 Star hotel of drama.

Back from their jaunt to London the Housewives are barely taking a breath before the drama kicks off again.

After the rollercoaster high AND low of episodes 4 and 5, how does episode 6 fare? Well, the guys spend a fair amount of time on completely unrelated subjects, but that's not really an indicator of anything.

IS THIS THE EPISODE THOUGH... Where Tessa and Karen incur the wrath of the ITV Faithful? Perhaps so, you'll have to listen to find out!

Join co-hosts Ollie Watts and John Liot as they tediously flick through the inflight magazine of reality TV and check in at the 1 Star hotel of drama.

Part 2 of 'The London Trip' sees the ladies give the greatest exposition dump of the series thus far; come on now, everything they're talking about happened yesterday, WE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.

Anywho, on this week's episode Ollie and John discuss such pertinent topics as, 'what would your TED talk be about?', 'what is the origin of Madame Tussaudes name?' and 'what about the time Ollie met WWE Legend, Scotty 2 Hotty at a pool in Florida?!'

All that and not much more on this week's episode of Real HouseGuys!

Join co-hosts Ollie Watts and John Liot as they tediously flick through the inflight magazine of reality TV and check in at the 1 Star hotel of drama.

London's calling, and the Housewives answered.

The first of 'the holiday episode' of Housewives is here and we're off to the Big Smoke, all in the name of fashion and definitely not a duplicitous attempt to stoke drama and the like.

VEGAS BABY! WE DID IT! YEAH!

Casino Royale? More like, Casino Actually Quite Fun.

Does that make sense? It doesn't need to.

HouseGuys etc etc!

John Liot and Ollie Watts are back chatting all things Housewives. Expanding the unofficial HouseGuys lore, meeting up with real life Housewives and those all important scales.

IT'S THE BIRTHDAY EPISODE!

Double birthdays on Housewives means double the drama and double the hypocrisy.

Is this the first episode that truly pitches some genuine animosity between the ladies?! Kinda.

Join co-hosts John Liot and Ollie Watts as they espouse some of the 21st century's greatest insight and wittiest tidbits about a reality TV show set in a part of the world most people think is actually on the eastern border of America.

PLUS, one of the Housewives drops us a voice note to reveal the answer to one of this episode's most curious questions...

BOOM BABY!

Like a firework destined for the sky that ended up falling out of its brace and slithering along the ground into a disappointing fizzley anti-climax, the Real Housewives of Jersey has exploded back onto our screens.

Not sold as fans on Season 1, the HouseGuys are nothing if not patient and venture to see if Season 2 will sway them.

Join Ollie and John as they unpack, review and rate each episodes of the behemoth reality show and sizzle some sass on the TV show that pitches middle-aged women against each other in some kind of mum-focus, PG-13 version of the UFC.

DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK!

"John, are you guys gonna do Season 2 of Housewives?!"

Relax, relax oh fervent listener, it was never in doubt. Just as the shall surely rise, so too will the HouseGuys to the occassion of watching trash TV and having a moan about it.

But before we dive into the oddly mysterious sophomore season of RHOJ, let's do a little recap on what happened since S1 wrapped.

Come along, settle in and reflect on the series that was and muse on the series that's to come.

Join co-hosts John Liot (@johnliot) and Ollie Watts (@ewelywewts) as they dissect and analyse the goings on of the elite. Episodes weekly, follow us on spotify, stitcher, amazon/google/apple podcasts.

On today's episode of IGYE I'm joined by professional songwriter, Sara Strudwick.

I've known Sara for a few years, after having done a piece on her career for FreeVibe magazine back in 2019. She's back in 2021 having just been part of the writing team for a song on the 2021 Marvel film, Eternals. We're talking about that, what goes on in the studio, creative block and motivation, cultural appropriation and navigating the always sticky and problematic nature of social media.

Blood Sweat and Tears Jersey are Jared Crespel and Gavin McDougall.

They've joined musical and creative forces to create a musical fundraising opportunity for a local charity. As part of their media tour they asked if I'd have a chit-chat with them about what they've created, the reasons and methods behind it and a bunch of other great stuff.

Was more than happy to oblige these lads and think this is a conversation you'll enjoy whether you're a part of the Jersey music scene or from a country miles away from our shores.

There is now a music video for the track which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtEdrk28FUg
