  • A Microdose of Molly: Stepping back into a project of love

Hello! Well it's been a bit quiet here for some time, and that is totally on me. I started this break when I realized I wasn't sure why something felt off and I couldn't quite name it. This project is so important to me, and taking the pause has given me the space for so much reflection. As you'll hear in the episode, I have not exactly figured out what the path is with I'm Glad You're Here, but I think part of it, or most of it, is figuring it out together.

If you've ever started a project and abandoned it, then struggled to find your way back, I hope you can relate and join me in this mission to bring it back in a powerful, meaningful way.

I mentioned that my website is OUT! Please check it out & let me know what you think :) I'd love to hear from you!

    xo,

  • Exploring the Enneagram: A Therapeutic Approach with Laurel Roberts-Meese, LMFT

Welcome back to an episode of I'm Glad You're Here. If you are vaguely familiar or new to the enneagram system, you'll want to listen to this episode. The Enneagram system is a great way of understanding ourselves and relating to others. As a therapeutic model, Enneagram therapy helps the client and therapist better understand the client's core values, beliefs and fears. This makes treatment more effective by providing a common lens for the therapist and client to navigate with.

We cover all 9 types in this episode in a very nuanced fashion - give it a listen and let me know your thoughts!

Check out Laurel's website to see what each type may be focusing on in therapy.

Luarel Roberts-Meese is an LMFT currently serving residents in California and Florida. Laurel Therapy Collective serves many communities - check out their offerings and staff here

  • Developing a Personal Practice with Tarot, Skye Marinda

Today's dive is all about Tarot, a divination tool that consists of a deck of cards used to provide insight and guidance on various aspects of life through symbolic imagery and interpretations. Tarot has been used for centuries to gain clarity on situations, view things from different perspectives, and seek empowerment throughout the tumultuous journey of life.

In this episode, Skye, an experienced Tarot reader with hundreds of readings under her belt, shares insights into the meanings of the cards—from the Major Arcana, which represents life lessons and karmic influences, to the Minor Arcana, which reflects human preoccupations, activities, emotions, and daily life. Skye provides guidance on how Tarot can serve as a powerful tool for personal development. We’ll also do a reading to demonstrate how to connect with the guidance Tarot offers. This episode is perfect for anyone looking to acquaint themselves with Tarot and understand how it can be used to make empowering decisions for a more fulfilling life.

  • Psychedelics in Therapy: MDMA, Psilocybin & Ketamine with Pam Singer, PsyD

Welcome back to I'm Glad You're Here! This week's episode is a comprehensive rundown of MDMA, Psilocybin, and Ketamine and its role in therapy. This conversation around psychedelic-assisted therapy includes the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client and the particular training that therapists are undergoing to be prepared to work in this way.  We discuss which psychedelics have been proven to be highly effective among certain populations, the contraindications for taking psychedelics,  and how each psychedelic works on a physiological and emotional level.

To have a thoughtful conversation, I am joined by Pam Singer, a clinical psychologist who graduated from IPI's Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Certification. Pam has undergone over a year of training to be able to speak to this new approach to therapy and has been working with clients individually for years before exploring psychedelic work.

*At the time of recording, Ketamine is the only legal 'psychedelic' available for therapeutic work throughout the U.S.

I encourage exploring resources such as MAPS.org that has published research and funding to support the growth in this field.
