Living in anxious attachment leave us fatigued. We're constantly trying to prove ourselves because we think if we make ourselves indispensable, we increase the chances of someone staying with us. We're unable to separate someone's negative actions from our own value and worth, so when they treat us poorly, we think it's because we are not good enough for them to treat us better.
Constantly choosing people who elicit the parts of ourselves that we dislike the most is traumatic in itself! The good news is, change is totally possible. Trey is an excellent example of that and I hope his wisdom and experience helps you today.
