On September 29th 1903, in the quiet town of Van Meter, Iowa, a man by the name of U. G. Griffith would see something very odd to him. A light where a light had never been, on the top floor of the local bank. When Griffith went to confront what he assumed was a robber, the light dashed across the street landing onto the opposite rooftop. This would be just the beginning for the town, as they were now being haunted by the Van Meter Visitor.

In the outskirts of the small town of Evans, New York, lived a hog farmer that was feared by his neighbors. He was known all over town for putting his recently slaughtered hogs heads on spikes and lining his property with them, warning everyone to keep away. But one day a group of fearless teenagers decided to sneak on the farm anyway, only to be confronted by the Pigman himself. Though I can’t tell you what exactly happened on that farm, I CAN tell you the boys' heads were found on spikes among his hogs, and the farmer was never seen again. So if you ever find yourself on the same road as those boys, strongly consider turning back, or your head may end up a spike as a warning from THE ANGOLA PIGMAN.

On July 29th 1998, an anonymous man faxed into the show Coast-to-Coast, claiming to be a time traveler on a mission from the year 2036. He was going back to the year 1975 to retrieve an IBM 5100 computer, for the task of possibly saving the world from impending doom. On Jan. 22, 1897, Edward Shue had approached a neighbor asking if their son, Anderson Jones, can help his wife with some chores, claiming she wasn't feeling good when he had left the house. When little Andy Jones arrived at the Shue home however, he found the lifeless body of Elva Shue strewn along the foot of their staircase. When the coroner arrived at the scene, the death was attributed to complications due to pregnancy. Devastated, Mary Jane Heaster, mother of Elva, started to pray hoping she'd see her daughter again, when suddenly her prayers were answered, setting in motion the tale of the Greenbrier Ghost.

On a cold night in West Virginia 1966, Five men were out digging a grave. One of those men, Kenneth Duncan, would go on to be the start of a long and tragic story. The report stated that while digging, Kenneth looked out into the trees and saw the Mothman flying in front of him. Though he was the only one to see it on that night, dozens would go on to witness the monster that terrorized Point Pleasant, West Virginia. This is the story of the Mothman.
