The first time I spoke with Nick Tokman it was evident why people call him Sunshine. He is upbeat, outgoing and everything you would expect for somebody with that nickname. Nick had a wild ride taking the risk and leaving it all behind and heading to Alaska without a job with the goal of becoming a crab fishermen like the ones his grandfather showed him on Deadliest Catch. Battling the Bering Sea head on with such a positive audience, Nick showed viewers how having such an upbeat can-do attitude during the grind that is Alaska crab fishing can have such a huge impact on his crewmates.
Nick realized he wanted to share this passion and his life experiences with others. So after leaving the show, Nick decided to become a motivational speaker and travel the country delivering his message of confidence, self worth and helping you reach "your" goals. Nick has made a huge impact on thousands of lives across the country through his speaking engagements and he is continuing to find ways to motivate people during the trying times we currently find ourselves in today.
Hope you enjoy this episode with Nick and be sure to check him out on his website and social media channels.

A couple of years ago I found out about the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation and how vital their mission is to helping save kids' lives that are battling cancer. When I found out how they were doing this and that fishing was involved, I was HOOKED! I never knew the struggle that these kids were facing, even with all of the millions of dollars put toward researching the disease, that there were really no drugs developed specifically for kids. They were really only being treated with drugs developed for adults battling cancer, which causes a high percentage of them to have life long complications. How could this be??? I immediately knew I wanted to be involved and when I found out that I could take some people out fishing and help this cause, that was the icing on the cake! The NPCF has been around since 1991 and growing nationally with the help of people like you and me through various fundraising efforts across the country. My good friends Shamus Warren and Chris Geib join us on this episode to talk about the NPCF, how to get involved, growing up in the outdoors and share some powerful stories along the way from their time with the foundation. So please, check out their website and get involved. Thanks for listening to this episode!

Back in 2007, Fishing's Future was founded by Shane Wilson with the simple goal of reconnecting families through the sport of fishing. Little did he know at the time, but this would become a nation-wide movement with the organization now having more than 70 chapters across the U.S. and beyond. They reached their 1,000,000th participant back in 2018 and have no plans on slowing down. Shane has surrounded himself with amazing people, including now Executive Director, Michael Scherer. Michael has been an integral part in helping Fishing's Future reach its goals and expand their reach through various platforms including their "Interactive Online Experiences" during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing them to continue to reach families across the country during this difficult time.
Hope you enjoy this one, so sit back and listen to the Fishing's Future story and find out how you can get involved and help with their mission through volunteering and donations.

William "Bubba" Ray was born in Galveston, Texas. From an early age, Bubba tagged along with his father and grandfather on fishing and hunting trips and eventually started going out on his own. The story of Chickenboy is one of legend around the Texas coast. Stories of huge Flounder being caught, limits of trout and reds, and of course all those memorable lure names. Joe Moughon has turned his soft plastic lure company into one of the major players in the fishing industry and has created a huge following and fanbase all thanks to his ability to make his lures not only something to just catch fish on, but for people wanting to be part of the Chickenboy family. But there is a lot more to Chickenboy than just his lures. From an early age, Joe realized the importance of finding something you are good at and that you enjoy doing. And just like Billy Crystal in City Slickers, he finally realized what it was.
Having gotten to know Joe over the past several years, it has really blown me away by how much this man does for people. Joe is as active as one can be in the fishing industry with trade shows, public appearances, making new lures and so many other things. So get ready to hear about how Chickenboy came to be and you might just learn a thing or two about catching some of his favorite fish, the Flounder!

Dream Big and you can make it happen! This is pretty much Vance Zahorski summed up. Vance has been taking the fishing world by storm with his innovative Line Cutterz ring and has turned this business into more than something to just make money on. Vance and his team, including his brother Cullen, have created a fishing community across the world by really listening to their customers on wants and needs and involving them in every step along the way. With the help of making a deal on Shark Tank with Daymond John and a huge following on social media, Line Cutterz has exploded in the last few years to not only be a leader in the fishing industry, but the crafting industry too.
But nothing comes easy and these guys know how to overcome the odds in tough situations. Hurricane Harvey was one of these situations that devastated the Texas coast in 2017 and the Cutterz brothers battled flood waters to keep their business afloat all while gaining the respect of many through their determination. These guys are the true meaning of working hard to be successful!
Be sure to check out all of their gear on their website and follow them on social media
