Have you ever gotten stuck in a ditch and needed help out?
Even if you’ve never been stuck in a literal ditch, you’ve most likely been in a life situation where you needed help. However, when the time comes, asking for that help isn’t always what we decide to do. It’s often easier to think we need to pull ourselves out of the trenches before connecting with others. But what if it’s in the trenches we need others the most?
As Dale and Brian pressed on in the business, they often felt they were on an island. Of course, they had each other, but they knew there were resources they weren’t yet utilizing.
To continue learning and improving, they began to push for something that perplexed others in the industry: a conference where other business owners from Astrolawn could connect and bounce ideas off of each other.
When their idea became a reality, they made the trek to Las Vegas. They were excited to share information and bounce ideas off of others in the industry. While others might view community as competition, Dale and Brian viewed it as a massive asset–and the encouragement they needed to propel their business forward.
We were not designed to do this life alone.
Whether it's family, co-workers, or friends, there is power in community. Are you utilizing it, or is pride keeping you stuck?
Thank you for joining us for another week of Impact Without Limits.

Every day, your life impacts those around you–is it for better or worse?
This week the four Karmie brothers spent time reflecting on the life of their father, Fred Karmie, and the impact he made on them. Today, we’re sharing part two of that conversation.
As you’ll hear in today’s episode, Fred Karmie was a hard worker, relentless in his pursuits, intense, productive, passionate, and occasionally pretty fun. Fred gave life his all, without thought to how far his impact would reach.
As Jim, Ken, Dale, and Brian reflect, one common theme unfolds: the impact of just one life can be extraordinarily powerful.
It’s jolting to think about how different things might be if Fred had not made the hard decision to leave his homeland and pursue a better life in America. The Karmie brothers, ForeverLawn, and the impact they’ve created would not exist today.
Every day counts. Your decisions matter. And as you’ll be reminded toward the end of this episode, our days here are numbered.
The fantastic–and challenging–thing about legacy and impact is they continue long after we are gone. Is what you’re leaving behind something you’re proud of?
We hope this week’s episode inspires you to make every day count. It’s time to start living a life of Impact Without Limits.

Can one life really make an impact for generations to come?
As we approach the end of the month, Dale and Brian share another wonderful conversation, and this week, it’s with their brothers, Ken and Jim Karmie.
There’s always something special when the four Karmie brothers come together. This week is even more spectacular as they reflect on and honor their late father's life, Fred Karmie.
Fred was born in Syria and raised in a Muslim home. At 28, he came to America to pursue his newfound Christian faith and start a new life. Out of this pursuit, many beautiful things came to fruition, including his wife, Helen, and his four sons. In this episode, the Karmie brothers share more about Fred’s journey to America, his character traits, and how his short 59 years created a ripple effect of impact on not just the Karmie family but the entire ForeverLawn Family and beyond.
If you’ve ever questioned whether what you are doing matters or not, this episode is for you. Join the Karmie brothers as they share the inspiration of Fred’s life, work, ethic, and legacy, which continues to spread even today.
This episode is so full of goodness that Dale and Brian decided to break it into two. Stay tuned later this week for the second half of this compelling conversation!!

How do you know if you’re investing wisely?
The money was rolling in, the paychecks were rolling out, and the Karmie brothers were left with very little to bring home to their families.
Was it their spending habits, or was it simply the nature of the business. Most importantly, was all this sacrifice worth it?!
So often, in life and business, we are left to make significant financial decisions. Sometimes sacrifice is necessary, but determining where to draw the line can be difficult. With today’s flashy marketing tactics, social media highlight reels, and the age-old “keeping up with the Joneses,” it can be easy to get swept up in emotion. This makes it even more difficult to decipher: is this decision a wise investment, a required necessity, or a splurge to feed my lifestyle and my ego?
Thankfully, this is exactly what Dale and Brian are diving into today. As they continue sharing their story, they elaborate more on how to make wise financial decisions. They share their own experience and give practical advice on navigating the tension of investing wisely and spending frivolously.
Whether you’re the CEO of a thriving business or the CEO of your home, this episode is applicable across the board.

How would you feel if someone called you a failure?
Dale and Brian continue their story this week, sharing their relentless pursuit of investing back into their business. As they attempted several different (and costly) marketing ventures, they knew the risk factor was high, and that there may not be a return on what they invested. But it was a risk Dale and Brian knew they needed to take.
That unknown or fear of failure can often paralyze us. Is it better to swing and miss or not swing at all?
If that’s something you can resonate with, trust us–you’re not alone. Thankfully, Dale and Brian speak directly to this fear today.
By the end of this episode, we hope to remind you that how you view and approach failure plays directly into your success. Failure is part of the process, and while it is indeed painful at times, it’s also inevitable.
If you’re not failing, you’re not moving forward.
Failure is not the F word. Listen today to hear why.

Is your excitement about where you’re going big enough to attract others to come with you?
Join us this week on Impact Without Limits as Ty Allen, a dear friend of the Karmie brothers, enters the scene. In the midst of change and traveling out west for a job interview, Ty decided to stop out in Albuquerque to visit Dale and Brian.
Ty witnessed Dale and Brian's actions for their business, and that action became contagious.
We crave for our excitement about new ideas to be shared by those around us. Often though, we exhaust ourselves trying to convince them with our words, when it would be more effective to convince them with our actions. Without realizing it, this is exactly what Dale and Brian were doing during Ty’s visit.
After a couple of long days of showing Ty their new business, everyone sat together and talked over a greasy pizza.
What happened next was unexpected, but you’ll have to tune in to today’s episode to hear what it was.
We do want to leave you with this: talk is cheap, but action creates attraction.
Listen today to hear how that unfolded in this scenario.

Sometimes you don’t know what you need until you have it.
Maybe it’s a relationship that entered your life at just the right time or an integral addition that changed the trajectory of your business. Maybe you have yet to discover this type of realization and find yourself wondering what essential change may be missing from your life.
Today on Impact Without Limits, Dale and Brian talk about the transformation that occurred from finally finding what they didn’t know they needed.
As the business continued to grow, so did Dale and Brian’s workload. One day as they were diligently working in the office, a man walked in– and before Dale and Brian knew it, he was convincing them to hire him along with his friend Priscilla.
While Dale and Brian were initially caught off guard and resistant to adding to their overhead, they decided to take a leap of faith–even though in their minds, part of this leap seemed rather unnecessary.
But sometimes, you don’t know you need something until you have it–and once you do, you find it has the power to revolutionize your future.
Would this be true for Dale and Brian?
Listen this week to find out.

What would your life look like if you relinquished control of your plans and let God lead?
Today, Dale and Brian share a conversation with American bobsledder, football player, family man, and businessman Brock Kreitzburg.
Often in life we make big plans, and when they don’t work out it can be soul-crushing. But what if breaking our dreams holds a breakthrough for the lives we were created for?
For Brock, this is a massive part of his story. When his plans didn’t work out, Brock decided to lean in and continue pressing on toward the life he was created for. After participating in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers mini-camp, Brock went to school and earned a degree in divinity. While there were many twists and turns, one thing remained: he was committed to living a life of serving others.
Throughout this conversation, Brock shares how he followed gentle nudges to lay down the life he planned for himself and live in unknown countries with no ties. While the nudges didn’t always make sense at the time, in retrospect, it’s easy to see how the path he took was all part of God’s beautiful and perfect plan.
Had Brock followed his own self-serving desires, it’s likely he never would have landed where he is today.
Today Brock spends his time investing in Summit Missions, a Christian organization partnering with churches and leaders across Eastern Europe to provide practical help and spiritual hope–all done with the ultimate goal of sharing the good news of God’s love for them through Jesus Christ.
If you’re at a crossroads and struggling with which direction to take, this episode is one you will not want to miss.
Brock is an amazing man of impact, and this episode is packed full of wisdom that we feel privileged to share with you.

Have you ever had your power shut off?
This week The Karmie Brothers take a deep dive into several of the low points in their business journey.
If you thought this was already covered in previous episodes, you’re in for a real treat–because it only gets worse today.
From electricity getting shut off while family is visiting, to leaving a mother-in-law nearly abandoned at a movie theater due to a car repossession; these two have no shortage of worsening trials as they continue chasing their dream. If you don’t find yourself shaking your head at Dale and Brian, it’s likely because it hits a little too close to where you are right now.
Nearly two decades removed from what some would consider a nightmare, Dale and Brian reflect on what they call their “lowlight reel.” There are undoubtedly hardships, but we promise this episode is far more than a walk down nightmare lane.
If you’re dealing with something difficult, or feel like you're at the bottom of the barrel-- this episode is for you.
Do you believe there is purpose in your pain?
Through today’s episode, we hope that you find encouragement to press on and see you can find purpose in the midst of all the pain. Don’t let the tough times stop you. If your purpose is right, the tough times don’t last—and as Dale and Brian prove, it’s worth seeing the other side of things.
You can use your lowlight reel and make a tremendous impact, but first, you have to keep moving forward.

Can you mislead somebody by telling them the truth?
Last week, Dale and Brian discussed the importance of multiplying your time. Today, they dive into exciting twists and lessons learned as they applied this principle to their own business.
The business began to grow in ways they didn’t think possible. Even when Dale and Brian weren’t there to oversee every single aspect, the company's pieces and parts continued moving. New team members who weren’t a part of projects earlier on benefitted from the continued growth. Dale and Brian were creating something bigger than themselves; they were beginning to develop the power of “we.”
Once they leaned in, things began to change and improve like never before. So today, we ask you one important question: are you selling yourself short and leaning into the power of “me” over “we?”
Listen today to find out.
Welcome back to Impact Without Limits.
