As many of you know, I am a lover of stories. I think they can be incredible messengers of truth, hope, inspiration, and love. I especially love stories that are testimony builders and invite listeners to feel the spirit.

Although I grew up hearing stories from my dad’s mission, this episode was so fun to record because I learned details I never knew before! It is also a special experience to hear someone you love bear their testimony of something that you know to be true too!

Well friends, here’s the update on my life. This episode is specifically about my journey with applying to graduate school, finding out I didn’t get into SUU’s PsyD program, and throwing a Hail Mary to see if I can get into a program up north.

There is bound to be a part four with live updates of what ends up happening! Lucky you if it’s already out and you can just find out … for those living in present time with me, we get to wait! Agh!

First, I would like to say that this episode is a million times more engaging and interesting than the episode I did last year for the statistics of 2023. That was my goal, and I think I succeeded!

This being said, it’s still an episode with statistics, so if that isn’t your jam, don’t stress. I’m not offended haha!

I had a special experience in the temple on Friday that I wanted to share.

Afterwards, I felt prompted to make a podcast episode about this sacred moment and what led up to it, so here we are.

I’m sure someone (maybe that’s you!), could benefit from a reminder that Heavenly Father is aware of you. That He always has been. That He always will.

Take heart as you experience sorrow and sadness. I know that He hasn’t forgotten you, and I KNOW that everything will be okay.

The last few episodes have been fun to record because I’ve been able to reminisce about FSY and hear about others’ experiences.

This episode is a little bit different in the fact that MaKayla talks a lot about her experience as an FSY coordinator, which is a completely different role than counselor.

MaKayla’s unique experience and expertise in serving as a coordinator was fascinating to hear about. I can imagine that being in charge of all the “hard” stuff is challenging in many ways, and I applaud MaKayla for all she did as a coordinator for FSY in 2022 (and her service as a counselor in 2019).

Thank you, MaKayla, for sharing your insight into “undefined miracles” and the love that God has for the youth. I completely agree that He loves us a heck of a lot!
