So often, many of us tend to believe that God does not approve of opulence or nice things. However, in today's message, Pastor JD says that just as in the case of Solomon building the Lord's temple, so God delights in beauty when it is directed towards His glory. May we not be stingy in creating and directing nice things towards Him.

Some may wonder why the Tabernacle of the Lord was modest and meek in appearance. However, in today's message, Pastor JD explains that we can learn about the character of God through the tabernacle's appearance. The tabernacle was adorned simply so to reflect a picture of our Savior: simple, humble, and innocent.

Just as Solomon laid the stones for the Temple, so are we like metaphorical stones when we lay our lives down for God. King David followed God's leading when he was told not to build the temple. Yet, in today's message, Pastor JD explains that David prepared a way for his son to eventually build the temple. We can learn from this example. Though God may tell us “no,” we can still bring our desires to the Lord in an effort to glorify His name.
