In the first half of this prophecy update Pastor JD revealed the true identity of the so called freedom fighters as actual members of Al Qaeda. This sobering fact calls the current administration's actions into question. Today Pastor JD will spend some time considering current events and how they just might be lining up with Ezekiel chapter thirty eight.

The single greatest witness that we have in this life is the Word of God. As we just heard from Pastor JD personally...contained within the pages of God's Word are insights into the deepest darkest places of our lives that only God knows. No person could have come up with such wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

Pastor JD's point a moment ago is one we need to carefully consider. There is a HUGE difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is a product of the good things that happen in our lives...it is utterly situational. But, joy...joy is a product of knowing that the eternal consequence of your sin has been completely paid for.

When a person believes that they deserve to be forgiven based upon the merit of their lives...worship is the very farthest thing from their hearts and minds. But, when a person rightly knows that God in Heaven has spared us from the righteous judgment that we deserve...fountains of worship erupt from that person's inmost being.

Stop and think about a beautiful flowing, clean waterfall...it seems to purify everything it touches. The Word of God is regularly symbolized as water. Because as we read God's Word it washes us clean by bringing to light those things that are unclean in us thereby giving us an opportunity to confess, repent, and be fully restored unto God.

What's taking place in Syria is heating up more and more each day. In this prophecy update Pastor JD shares with us how close things might very well be. And the hint by Syria that 'neighbors' would get involved with the conflict should Syria come under attack...well, this is a sobering thought considering what the Bible has to say.

Though it might seem like something that only scholars, theologians, and senior pastors should know about...Pastor JD challenges us today to study for ourselves...he will recommend books by various authors that you can read to either confirm or deny what you hear in these prophecy updates.

Pastor JD brings out an important point in today's text. No one and nothing can take us away from the covenant we have with God...we cannot be cut off. But, today we'll learn that by the choices we make, we can choose to cut ourselves off. We can choose to walk away from God at any point...the decision is ours.

As we just heard from Pastor JD...the terms of the covenant that God has made with us is everlasting. What does that mean? It means that once you've accepted Jesus as your LORD and Savior...you are now an eternal being. You will most certainly die in this life unless Jesus returns for us...but, you will exist eternally in God's presence.

Stop and think about the span of human life...if you're lucky, you live 80, maybe 85 years. Now, stop and think about eternity in comparison...not possible, right :-)? That's what Pastor JD will encourage us to consider today...the struggles we face in this life can't compare to the eternal joy we will experience in God's presence.
