Pastor JD shares a compelling point that each of us needs to consider. Why aren't we MORE excited about the return of Jesus Christ? Pastor JD shares with us today that this is because we've made our home here in this kingdom and we're content. Remember, God's Word says that we're not to be OF this world.

Pastor JD just described a person that is so full of themselves, there's no room for anything else. We'll learn today that this is at the very core of an unfulfilled life...a selfishness that doesn't even think of others. Pastor JD will remind us today that in order to be filled up with the joy of God, we must be emptied of self.

Pastor JD challenges the modern notion of self esteem in today's message. We'll learn that a quick cure for depression is to STOP thinking of self and begin thinking of others. In fact, Pastor JD will encourage us to begin serving others in order to combat those unfulfilled feelings...fulfillment comes by living like Jesus and He was a servant.

Although what Pastor JD just said is pretty funny...there's absolute truth to it! We can all admit that when we're neck deep in a trial, we don't consider it a joyful experience. In fact, we beg God to deliver us. But, maybe that's not the best idea? Maybe next time you should ask God WHY you're going through it?

Today's prophecy update was shared on September 22, 2013...and since then, we DID experience a government shutdown over the debt crisis. Today Pastor JD will share some of the mind boggling statistics surrounding the American economy. He surmises that a global financial meltdown is imminent which is eluded to in Scripture.

There is coming a day for each person that you will have to give an account for the things that you've done on this earth. Have you accepted the free gift of God's salvation and been cleansed of your sin? Or did you just attempt to live a moral life? There is no amount of good that you can do to inherit the Kingdom of God.

Friends, Pastor JD will again share an impassioned plea with those of you that may be listening today and have not accepted Jesus as your LORD and Savior. There are two reasons why this is vitally important. One, you truly don't know how much time you have on this earth. Two, the global events are moment by moment pointing to the return of Jesus Christ.
