Today we'll learn that one of the best ways to discover who your true friends are is to listen to what they say. Are they constantly showering you with flattering words? Beware! OR, are they willing to put the friendship on the line in order to speak the truth in love? A true friend is one that will speak the truth in love.

We know from the book of 2 John that love is defined as walking according to His commandments. When we truly love someone we will be willing to tell them the truth regardless of the outcome. But, when we are living only for ourselves, we will only be concerned with what we can get...what we can take.

What brings fulfillment in this life? Is it the new house on the golf course?...the shiny Mercedes Benz in the garage?...the straight A starting quarterback son? Pastor JD challenges the status quo today by encouraging us to consider God's will as the supreme source of true fulfillment in this life.

Russia's posturing in regards to Syria is something that we need to pay close attention to. Pastor JD will remind us of what Ezekiel chapter thirty eight and Psalms chapter eighty three say. The events that are coming to pass all around us point to the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

We join Pastor JD as he begins reading an article written by Vladimir Putin. Pastor JD has been sharing with us what a fulfilled Christian life looks like. As we change from glory to glory, into His image, we experience fulfillment far beyond what this world can offer.

Many times we approach God like He is our employer. We've worked our Sunday morning worship service...we even put in a bit of overtime and came to the mid-week Bible study. Now, God owes us the blessings He's promised in His Word. Brothers and sisters, God doesn't owe us anything! What we receive from Him is from the abundance of His mercy and grace.

Have you ever thought about the Word of God like a mirror? What would you do if you went into the bathroom tomorrow morning to get ready for your day, looked up at the mirror and saw someone else? You'd probably scream! Well, God's Word is the mirror for our lives...we look into it and see where God's grace needs application...where we need to change.

Though the media would have us believe otherwise, Pastor JD shares today that the so called freedom fighters are actually Al Qaeda operatives. Now, isn't the United States supposedly supporting these freedom fighters? Wouldn't that make the United States supportive of Al Qaeda?
