Although the Bible is full of difficult things that God asks us to do...like love your enemy...there's also a promise that God will empower you to do anything and everything that He asks of us. In fact, this is what the New Covenant IS...the Word of God written on our hearts and the power to obey!

While Pastor JD's example is pretty funny...it really does explain a Biblical truth. So many are under the false impression that because their grandfather was a preacher or because they grew up in church they're destined for heaven. The ONLY way a person can enter heaven is if they are born-again through the shed blood of Jesus.

Though any Christian would be quick to say that they love God...we'll learn today that this isn't what should be first and foremost in our lives. The fact that we must keep front and center in our lives is that GOD LOVES US. And because He loves us, we are now different than we were before...we now walk in a way that pleases Him.

Pastor JD brings to light the truth about our love for God in today's message. If you're like most of us...you would most certainly say 'I love God!' But, have you ever stopped to consider why? The only way that we are even capable of loving God is because He first loved us. He proved His love for us by dying in our place.

There are all sorts of religious persuasions out there...as we just heard from Pastor JD...and yet there is one prerequisite that we must consider...who is Jesus? Is He God in the flesh who lived a sinless life and died on behalf of mankind making the ONLY way to heaven? If not, then it's false doctrine!
