The righteous standard of God's Word was never meant to be the method by which we enter heaven. God's Word reveals to us our desperate need for a Savior. Now, this fact is key in the way that we share the Gospel with the lost. Step one must be a proper application of God's Law in order that the unsaved would see there need.

Have you ever thought of your life as a poem? You know poems seem to have an ebb and flow to them, representing trials and struggles. Our lives are the same way...as the Father writes the poem that is our life...it can sometimes be dark and difficult and at other times, it's bright and full of life.

Did Pastor JD just describe you...you're of the mindset... 'Hey, I never killed anyone!' ...and so you believe that God should accept you as you are. This false notion is a lie from the enemy. It doesn't matter how good or NOT bad you are in this life, you need the saving work of Jesus Christ in your life in order to enter heaven.

There seems to be as many ideas of what the filling of the Holy Spirit will accomplish in the life of a believer as there are denominations. We'll learn today that being filled with the Holy Spirit results in a Holy life...a life that is set apart for the purposes of God. So, the question is, have you been filled with the Holy Spirit?

Today Pastor JD shares a sobering fact with us...I don't know if you were aware of this...I certainly was not...but, over forty thousand Syrians have lost their lives in the current conflict taking place in Syria...forty thousand people! We'll learn today that the Syrian conflict is only one of many that should lead us to believe that we are in the very last days.

In today's prophecy update Pastor JD shares with us the plight of the Egyptian people under the leadership of Mohamed Morsi. The poverty level in this country is steadily rising. And this is something that is specifically prophesied as taking place in the last days. Friends, it's time to get right with God and get ready for Jesus' return!

Modern morality is such a relative concept because it changes with the whim of the masses. Pastor JD reminds us today that God's Word is not relative and what He has said is sin...IS sin! We need to be quick to reject this kingdom's definition for sin and accept God's directives for us...because He knows what's best for us.

Is that you Christian? Do you simply pretend that everything is ok each Sunday...you walk in and put on a fake smile, extend a fake handshake, and lift up half hearted worship? The Creator of the Universe is very real...and He wants you to be real with Him. Tell Him what's going on in your life and watch Him begin the healing process.

What Pastor JD just said a moment ago deserves repeating...'being judgmental is not synonymous with having good judgment. We can quickly judge those around us based upon our own righteous standard which is utterly flawed. OR, we can consider God's Word and our own lives and THEN encourage our brothers and sisters to walk in truth.

Which person describes you the best? Are you the pharisee who enters the church each Sunday blessing God that you are not like the homosexual, the murderer, or adulterer? Or, are you the tax collector who approaches God's presence with holy fear admitting that you are in desperate need of His mercy and grace?
