Homosexuality is a topic that is being discussed quite a bit these days. Churches all over the world are ordaining and accepting homosexuality. It's important that we have a Biblical view about this issue. Those within the Body of Christ who have said that God HATES gays have been motivated by Satan. While God's Word certainly says that homosexuality is a sin...NO WHERE does it say God hates those caught in this sin.

Pastor JD asks an important question in this teaching, 'When you see the wickedness of this world, is your heart filled with HATE or LOVE?' The answer to this question reveals your true understanding of Who God is and your relationship with Him. God loves those caught in the sin of homosexuality and longs to set them free just as He has and will continue to set us free from sin!

In this day and age it's easy to point the finger at the wickedness that surrounds us. But, we're reminded today that this isn't the purpose for God's Word...to point out everyone's shortcomings...there certainly is a time and a place for that...but, God's Word has been given to us so that we might judge ourselves FIRST.

Though it's very hard to understand when in the midst of trying times, God has a purpose for everything that He allows in our lives. We'll learn today that God allowed trials in Paul's life so that he would have the opportunity to share the love of God with Felix. So, the next time you're being persecuted, ask God why and He will show you.

Our Father in heaven is a master steward. He uses every circumstance in our lives to further His will. And we know that God's will is ALWAYS good for us!!! So, the next time you're being persecuted, stop and consider what the reason might be. It might be for the very person that is persecuting you to come into the light of God's truth.

We are guaranteed to have trials and persecution in this life. But, we are also guaranteed to have God's Presence with us through each and everyone. God has given us a responsibility in the matter though. He requires that we arm ourselves with the truths found in His Word. By doing this, we will be prepared when persecution comes.

Pastor JD brings up a very good point today. When in the midst of adversity it's important to ask the LORD WHY He is allowing it. It may very well be that God is allowing this struggle to cause you to go another direction...HIS direction. God's will is sometimes known by the lack of blessing...go where there is blessing.

God has certainly provided amazing blessings that we can enjoy in this kingdom. But none of these blessings can even compare with what awaits us in His heavenly kingdom. Oftentimes, we become complacent and don't even think about eternity. Today Pastor JD exhorts us to be heavenly-minded...to seek those things which are above.
