Our guest at 8:30 was Pat Stone of Green Prints, aka "The Weeders' Digest" -- that is to say, a quarterly compendium of garden-related stories and interesting articles, curated and published by Pat.   Pat lilves in North Carolina, and as he warned us might happen, our interview with him was cut short when snowfall knocked out power; they're having a newsmaking storm on the east coast today.

We took phone calls, we heard Edie Tanem's report on Gardening-reated Events around the Bay Area, we took more phone calls: it was a fast hour with America's Happy Gardener, Bob Tanem!

You could call our guest this morning "the chicken lady," since she's written 4 books about chickens... the latest being 101 Chicken Keeping Hacks!   Some of those she shared with us: things ranging from what and when to feed to how to keep and even chicken first aid!

Our guest this norning was 3rd grader Chase Tienken, winner of this years' Bonnie Plants Giant Cabbage growing contest in the state of California; each year Bonnie Plants sponsors competitive grows in 3rd grade classrooms free of charge in each of the 50 states, choosing a winner in each state!

Our guest was Debra Lee Baldwin, expert on succulents; our topic: how to prepare your succulents to surivive / thive this winter!  Debra is enthused about her topic, and has 3 books to prove it, including the 2nd edition of her very successful and comprehensive Designing With Succulents on Timber press.

Our hour starts out with Edie Tanem and the current, Thanksgiving edition of What To Do Around the Bay Area for Gardeners; then it's right back to the phones, and America's Happy Gardener on KSFO!
