Its the divisional round of the playoffs and despite the Patriots losing Topher can't stop talking about Tom Brady. The title of this episode say it all, Jake and Topher are riding on a week 17 hope high. The guys do a quick breakdown of Fins/ Patriots. The overall mood of the result was the Fins won on the backs of their cost effective offseason signings. Eric Rowe and Devante Parker continued to perform at a high level. Topher can not wait to ooze irrational optimism when he sees Fins training camp videos of Mike Gesicki and Devante Parker.

We are in the second half of the holiday season. The guys start the show with a short recap of Bengals/ Fins and discuss how the Dolphins are a “good” bad team. Dolphins GM Chris Grier spoke with Kevin Clark of The Ringer. Jake and Topher talk about Griers comments on draft capital, the Fins timetable for winning, and Jerome Baker being a veteran LB. The second half of the show Jake discusses Ryan Fitzpatrick and Devante Parker signing and extension. The hottest taek by Jake makes an appearance. Topher riding solo on this edition of In the Hunt. First thing first, the Dolphins struck gold at QB the thing is Fitzpatrick is old but amazing. Sunday was YOLO ball central. Fitz was throwing TDs to Parker and Gesicki. Sunday just confirmed that the Fins made the right choice in giving Parker one last chance. Devante Parker has looked the part of a no 1 receiver and Mike Gesicki has shown potential and worthy of the second round pick. Finishing off the short pod, Jadeveon Clowney spoke out about the potential trade to the Dolphins. Let's just say, Clowney has a point but him and the rest of the NFL media owe Brian Flores an apology.

Jake takes a break from Thursday night football to talk about the Miami Dolphins, who recently shut down both Bobby McCann and Reshad Jones for the season. Despite a 17-point loss, the Dolphins were in the hunt all afternoon against the Buffalo Bills last Sunday and clearly missed linebacker Raekwon McMillan.
