In the Hunt: Miami Dolphins

Nobody was expecting a 59-10 blowout by the Ravens, but here we are. The Dolphins struggled, leaving Jake and Topher with their thoughts for a few days. The guys jump right into the game, starting with the CBS intro music. Why waste a second round pick on Josh Rosen if you would rather watch Ryan Fitzpatrick throw interceptions? Is Chris Grier the right guy to lead this team? What is Brian Flores identity? All these questions and more are discussed on this week's show.

Jake and Topher breakdown the lunacy of the rumored Laremy Tunsil for Jadaveon Clowney trade. The move doesn't make sense and Jake provides some rationale to the rumor. During the taping of the pod, Fins players were being cut left and right. To close the pod, Ryan Fitzpatrick was announced the starter, the guys aren't shocked because they've been saying since the signing that Fitzpatrick would start and Rosen would eventually takeover at QB.

With Jake Mendel out, soon to be dad Josh Houtz joins Topher to discuss the QB Competition. Topher gives a quick reaction to the Fins/ Falcons preseason game. Do the guys discuss if Josh Rosen is getting a fair shot? Preston Williams will be a Hall of Famer, this is not a knee jerk reaction. There have been tons of smoke when it comes to the Dolphins and trades but should we believe them? Would you take Jadeveon Clowney or Trent Williams? To finish off the show, Houtz compares Brees/ Rivers to Rosen/ future Dolphins rookie Qb and what it means for the team. Topher goes rapid-fire with Houtz on fantasy football and Madden.

Training camp has started and In the Hunt is back! The Dolphins social media, as predicted, sucked all of us in with ridiculous RedZone catches by Mike Gesicki. As of now, training camp Hall of Famer, Devante Parker has shown up. Jake and Topher discuss Bobby McCain potentially starting at Free Safety and discuss how they feel about Minkah Fitzpatrick being moved around the defense. The NFL released their top 100 and Xavien Howard comes in at number 55, this leads into a discussion on the young Dolphins defense and their potential. Now time for some QB talk!! Ryan Fitzpatrick has taken the reigns as the starting QB but is we surprised? Jake thinks we need to calm the hell down and let Fitzpatrick turn into a pumpkin by week 4. To finish the show, Jake and Topher discuss the TNT wall and Brian Flores philosophy on player competition and how it can affect the team with the exception of Laremy Tunsil.
