This week in the Throne Room, I invited new loyal royal and long-time internet friend, Lia over to talk about the Emerald Fennell-directed, Carey Mulligan and Margot Robbie-helmed film, Promising Young Woman (2020). We engaged in a long discussion/review about/of the film, talking up our favorite scenes and the importance of a film like this, alongside discussions of the future of film and cinema, particularly in terms of distribution (streaming services vs. the actual cinema). In usual fun fashion, we went off on tangents about how Paris Hilton's music career deserved better, how goddamn confusingly charming Bo Burnham is and that maybe Amy Adams is better off living her life Oscar-less while we still stan. Listen for a really fun romp into a very serious film that is a must-see in this post-MeToo world.

We are officially in the midst of 2021. So many possibilities. So much excitement. So much to come. We're trying to look onward and upward for this year so with that, I wanted to look to the postponed 30th Anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights coming this fall! I brought first-time guests Jess and Kay into the Throne Room to discuss all things in HHN30 with old rumors withstanding as well as new and what could carry over from the mini event I dubbed as "dietHHN." Listen in for endless love letters to Beetlejuice, random insertions of Candyman and venting about being jobless. The usual fun times in the Throne Room with a dash of SPOOK. Happy New Year! Here's the Throne Room's toast to 2021: Throne Room Regular Lawrence, newcomer Jodi and myself sat down to discuss our favorite albums of 2020. Those wonderful bits of music that got us through the turd fest that is 2020. Expect a bit of shade thrown at many a stan along with Scooter Braun & Justin Bieber.

The Kween has RETURNED. After a long time of refurbishment and time to reset, In The Kween’s Throne Room has officially returned at the end of the holiday season! And what better way to celebrate than talking about all our favorite Christmas films? Return guests Courtney and Ivy are back along with first time guest Parker to spread some holiday cheer in this week’s episode. Expect some Muppet praising, train hating and un-Christmassy behavior that we all just love to see in the Throne Room. It really feels good to be back.

Happy Halloween loyal royals! As a little surprise treat (or trick ;)) for the most beloved of holidays in the Throne Room, I have decided to share my thoughts on my latest trip to Orlando, FL for dietHHN. I give my thoughts on the Halloween offerings at the Universal Orlando resort as well as measures taken to stop the spread of COVID-19 along with how airlines and airports and the general public are handling it all. Hope you enjoy another spooky bonus episode before the season is through. The season may be ending but always keep it spooky.

It is the penultimate episode (and lucky number 13) of this here spooky season 2020, the first official spooky season in the Throne Room. To end it off, I’ve invited first time visitor Cece of the Scream Queens podcast as well as returnee Scott of the Dislexic podcast to talk about the 9 classic monsters known throughout the kingdom as created by the Universal Studios. We’ve done this by ranking all the monsters and discuss them as such. We cover topics such as why Creature is actually the protagonist in his film, my vampire and werewolf fetish (again) and Scott beating me up among many other things. Welcome back to our spooky little Throne Room as we continue our discussion of some of my favorite horror films. This week I invited my friend Sabrina into the Throne Room to talk about possibly the most controversial horror sequel of all time as well as what is considered the gayest horror film ever made, Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge! We delve deep into the turbulent history associated with the dark horse of the Nightmare franchise talking about how ridiculously gay it actually is, Wes Craven’s affinity for homoerotic subtext later on, why Jordan Peele needs to hire us and our strange attraction to various horror icons. Listen in for all the usual shenanigans when one sits to chat with the queen.

Welcome back to the Throne Room friends for another episode in this spooky month. This week we continued with the vampire theme ans I invited my dear friend and return guest, Monica, into the Throne Room to talk about Fright Night, the original 1985 Tom Holland directed vampire classic starring Chris Sarandon, as well as its 2011 remake starring many big names such as Colin Farrell, David Tennant, Toni Collette among many others. In this new comparison style episode we look at what makes a good horror classic remake and how one can stand apart from the original. Listen in for that as well as our unfortunate thirst for Jerry Dandridge, Toni Collette fangirling, a strong defense for the 2016 Ghostbusters remake among many other things.
