In The Loop

Lopez tries to build a list of the 25 greatest players in Texans history, and the crew debates which names have to make the cut and where they belong.

The NFL season is officially underway, and ITL gives its biggest takeaways from Seattle’s 13-10 comeback win over New England.

In The Loop kicks off the show diving into Baker Mayfield’s new deal and what it could mean for the Texans’ negotiations with C.J. Stroud. Does Mayfield getting paid create more pressure for Houston to get an eleventh-hour deal done, or give Stroud even more motivation to stand pat and bet on himself? The guys continue the conversation by asking what type of quarterback Stroud really is right now and what that level of quarterback should be paid, before getting into the Question of the Day: What’s something old school you still do? ITL then goes Around The NFL, while Reggie explains why he’s beginning to see the vision for the Texans’ running game and how it could work within Nick Caley’s offense, followed by What’s Popping in sports and entertainment. Later, the crew reacts to more from DeMeco Ryans on Texans Radio, including the idea of the offensive line working like “five fingers in a glove,” before Lunch-Time Confessions, where Lopez complains about US Open match times and Figgy wants to see Stevie Wonder in concert. Judge John Lopez returns to the courtroom before the guys put their NFL season predictions on the record. The show wraps with Figgy’s Mixtape, featuring a sneaker reseller going off about the current state of the sneaker game, a collection of wild WTF stories from around the world, and more.
