In today’s episode, we move into 2 John 1:4-6 and talk about what it truly means to “walk in truth.” Jesus doesn’t just teach truth — He is the Truth. We're moving into 2 John...a short letter with a very weighty message! In the first three verses, John repeatedly emphasizes two foundational marks of the Christian life: truth and love. In a world where truth is constantly redefined and love is often reduced to feelings or personal preference, this book calls believers back to the unchanging standard of God. Jesus didn’t just speak truth — He said He is the Truth (John 14:6). Real biblical love is far deeper than the version our culture promotes.

This episode breaks down why truth and love are inseparable. Truth without love becomes empty religion, and love without truth becomes compromise — but Jesus perfectly embodied both for us to imitate.

As we close out the study of 1 John, this episode is a direct and honest call to examine what’s ruling our hearts. In 1 John 5:18-21, John reminds believers that Jesus didn’t save us so we could stay enslaved to sin, numb to conviction, or comfortable living like the world. We talk about repentance, modern-day idols, and the reality that intimacy with God cannot grow while we continue feeding the very things that separate us from Him.

This episode unpacks how idols today can look subtle and socially acceptable and why there truly is no middle ground.

Jesus is calling us to surrender, freedom, and obedience right now, not someday.

In 1 John 5:16–17, John tells believers that when we see someone caught in sin, our response should be prayer. In a world that either ignores sin or harshly condemns people, Scripture calls us to intercede with humility, persistence, and confidence that God still changes hearts.

In this episode, we examine 1 John 5:10–12. John makes a clear declaration that those who have the Son have life, while also revealing that this life is not something we wait for in the future. It's rooted in Christ Himself right now. We are reminded firmly that life does not originate from anything this world offers, but from Jesus alone.

We talk about what it means that eternal life is not just a future promise of Heaven, but a present reality through relationship with God. If Jesus is truly the source of life, then it reshapes how we view identity, freedom, peace, and the words we speak over ourselves.
