In today’s episode, we dive into Matthew 22:1–14 -- one of my fav passages! It’s easy to envision, deeply personal, and very revealing about the choices we make every day.
Jesus paints a picture of a King who prepares a lavish wedding banquet for His Son — and yet, many of those invited turn it down. Not because the feast wasn’t good… but because they were “not impressed” and too busy with their own priorities.
We unpack what the invitation really represents, the modern-day excuses that keep us from God’s presence, and why so many people settle for what’s familiar instead of accepting what’s incomparable. We also talk about the robes of righteousness, what it means to truly honor the King, and how once you taste the feast God offers, nothing else satisfies the same way.
Reflection Questions:
1. What familiar things in my life might be quietly replacing time in God’s presence?
2. Do I truly see God’s invitation as a lavish feast — or something I keep postponing for later?
3. Am I willing to fully put on the robes of righteousness God offers, even if it means letting go of what feels comfortable or familiar?
We're not just invited to Heaven someday, but to the ongoing banquet of God’s presence right now !!!
