In this episode, we walk through 1 John 3:11-15 and unpack what it really means to live a life marked by love. We confront hard truths about anger, bitterness, people-pleasing, and what our actions are ultimately revealing. Scripture says a life with love isn’t just “off-track,” but it’s spiritually dead.

This is a call to examine your heart, surrender your emotions, and allow God to grow a bold & transformative love within you.

1. What is my life currently proving? Am I marked by love or just claiming it?

2. Is there any anger, jealousy, or bitterness in my heart that I’ve been agreeing or partnering with instead of surrendering it to God?

3. Am I loving people in a way that costs me something, or only when it’s easy and comfortable?

As we dive into 1 John 3:7-9, this episode goes straight into this question: Are you fighting your sin or feeding it?? This isn’t about the moments you’re struggling and bringing your weakness to God; it’s about what happens when we start excusing sin and settling into it.

Jesus didn’t come to manage sin; He came to destroy it. That means we’re not called to live stuck or in agreement with things He already crucified to the cross.

When we consistently entertain sin, it shapes what’s leading us. We’re warned not to be tricked, because even faithful believers can drift into compromise if & when we stop being intentional.

Reflection Questions:

1. Where in my life am I excusing sin instead of turning away from it?

2. What am I consistently feeding — my flesh or my spirit?

3. Who or what is really influencing my thoughts right now?

In 1 John 3:4–6, we’re confronted with a hard but freeing truth: there’s a difference between falling into sin and continuing in it. One leads to repentance; the other reveals something deeper.

John points beyond behavior to something more serious: when you really know Jesus, everything else changes. Sin loses its grip, not because of willpower, but because of relationship.

Through Christ, we’ve already been given everything we need to live a godly life (2 Peter 1:3)!

Reflection Questions:

1. Do I truly know Jesus in a personal, intimate way — or just know about Him?

2. Is there any area of sin that I’m continuing in instead of actively turning from?

3. What am I choosing daily — life or death, freedom or what’s familiar?

Are we walking in the truth, or believing a lie that we can manage sin and still remain in Him?

In this episode, we look at 1 John 3:1–3 and sit in the reality that we are not just saved but adopted as sons and daughters of God right now. His love isn’t minimal but lavish and overflowing! When you truly receive that, it changes how you move, what you chase, and how you see yourself.

We also talk about the hope of becoming like Jesus and how that future reality should shape how we live right now. When your eyes are fixed on Him, purity becomes a response, and your life begins to reflect the royalty you’ve been called into.

1. Am I living from my identity as God’s child, or still looking to the world for worth?

2. Have I truly received the Father’s lavish love, or grown numb to it?

3. What do I want to be found doing when I come face-to-face with Jesus?

What if you actually lived like who God says you are?

We’ll be reading in 1 John 2:28-29 today with a simple but weighty call: remain— and continue — in Christ. Faith isn’t just something we say we have; it’s something that shows. This doesn't mean perfection, but it should be consistent.

As God transforms us daily into His image, what once fit us no longer does. So why go back? You’ve been clothed in righteousness.

Reflection Questions:

1. Do I just know the truth about who I am in Christ...or do I actually believe it and live like it?

2. Is there anything in my life that I’m holding onto (or justifying) that God is calling me to let go of?

3. If Jesus returned today, would I run to Him with confidence and joy...or would something hold me back?

If you do know the truth, don't return to the lie! Walk IN the truth. Live IN the light.

It’s easy to drift from the very message that saved us...

In this episode, we go through 1 John 2:24-27 and remind ourselves of the basics of the Gospel message — Jesus, what He’s done, and the truth that we’re saved by grace through faith. This is the message we heard from the beginning, and it’s meant to stay burning in our hearts.

We also talk about what it means to truly remain in Him — not striving, but abiding in a real, personal relationship with God through the Holy Spirit.

1. Is the gospel still burning in my heart, or has it become familiar?

2. Am I striving in my faith, or truly abiding in Him?

3. What does “remaining” in Him look like for me today?

Today we’re in 1 John 2:20–23, breaking down what it means to be anointed and how the Holy Spirit leads us into truth.

This passage reminds us that as believers, we’ve been given access to the truth through the Spirit — but in a world full of deception, it’s possible to think we know truth while missing Jesus entirely.

We talk about what it means to be set apart, how we’ve been given the mind of Christ, and why you can’t accept the Father while rejecting the Son. Jesus is the full revelation of God, so to know Him is to know truth.

1. If I'm a Christian, do I live with the awareness that I’ve been given the Holy Spirit and full access to truth?

2. Am I rooted in Jesus...or just familiar with spiritual ideas?

3. Is there anything I’m believing that feels right but isn’t grounded in God’s Word?

What if we’re closer than we realize?

In today’s episode, we sit in 1 John 2:18–20 and look into what it means to live in “the last hour.” Using the imagery of running the final lap of a race, this convo is a call to wake up from spiritual apathy and run with intention, endurance, and focus.

We talk about the reality of deception, the presence of antichrist spirits today, and why staying rooted in God’s Word is essential for discernment and protection. Just being around truth isn’t the same as being anchored in it.
