Life teaches us lesson everyday. Some of them are hard lessons to learn. But if we analyze our mistakes or things that have not gone how we wanted, we can discover that that failure could be our greatest success. Because we can make a change in that moment that could change our lives forever. One of my current favorite books that I am reading is "Can't Hurt Me" by David Goggins.  He really puts this mindset into practice and explains it way better than I can. Screeching Weasel My Right https://youtu.be/sFWOgS9Oay0 This song was an anthem for us growing up. I was fortunate enough to have friends that accepted me for who I was, weird social quirks and all. We rallied around each other and formed a protective shield of self confidence that caused most criticisms to fall away without any problem. It wasn't until I "grew up" and started facing the challenges of life without a core support group that self doubt and the negative effects of criticism began to chink my armor that I had developed. I realized how important associating with positive influences and people of like minds could build that personal armor even more. I've still been able to maintain enough personal strength against what others thought about my appearance or opinions that I can wear a pink bunny suit to do a FB Live video. Currently, I have a better appreciation for the uniqueness that we each possess and how that can be our strength, maybe even a super power. Over the last 30 years, I have tried many different methods of making a living for myself and supporting my family. I am by no means a financially wealthy person but I've enjoyed an interesting life and found a way to finance it along the way while being married and raising four children. I have been self-employed for most of the last 20 years but I have also worked a few years in the corporate world. 

I thought I would share a few of the things I've tried or been exposed to for the purpose of sharing information that anyone may not have discovered. Nothing speculative and every one of them will take a full 100% commitment on your part for them to have any hope of succeeding. But if you are not willing to be all in on your own business then maybe something I say here could change that. I am a firm believer in having options not only in how I live my life but how I fund it also. If diversity in how you invest your money is a smart idea then why not in how you make your money as well? 

And for some of us, gone are the days that a single income could provide enough to meet all of our financial needs. I started out working in a construction trade and my wife was able to stay home with our children. That is not very common these days. So maybe one of these ideas would help you or your significant other without having to turn to MLM and scare off your friends ;^) I am a believer in sharing knowledge and I that maximum effort will lead to maximum returns in all aspects of our lives not just in business and money. So enjoy my ten ideas on how to make a little extra money in this new digital era.

Have you ever tried to make homemade fudge? It is a very challenging confection to not only attempt but to perfect. Most fudge is hard and crystalline. But once in a while, you find a fudge that is so smooth, it literally melts in your mouth. I found this much sought-after delicacy at, you guessed it, the Garland Farmers Market at Firewheel. Just when I thought I had tapped it out of interesting folks making extraordinary things, I meet John and Martha with a little candy shop called Batch Made in Heaven. So many unusual flavors of the smoothest fudge you will find around - banana split, sinful cherry delight, and slap yo mama, just to name a few. And they also have cashew toffee bites and pralines.
