Eric Clapton racist rant from August 1976 - An article from Snopes.com confirming this as truth. 1976 was a long time ago and as the article describes there were some anti-immigrant movements in Britain in the 1960s and 1970s, but coming from a guy that covered a famous song by Bob Marley and is know to have covered songs by T-Bone Walker, Jimi Hendrix, Bo Diddley, and other black artists this is very disappointing. Alcohol can cause people to behave erratically but I don't think it will cause you to support crazy movements unless you have a tendency for said crazy movement. Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just passing on the facts.

So this is one I have been rattling around in my head for a while. I have always fallen into procrastination. It's a flaw that I recognize and do my best to combat it through any means necessary. For you must guard your focus as though your life depends upon it, my dear readers. We all have the potential to do anything we want but too many times, not every time I understand, we get in our own way and hobble our ability to progress and expand. I know they are cases of those that are trapped in horrible conditions but most of us in modern semi-functioning society can get where we want to go and make moves if needed. We don't want to do the work. We aren't willing to make adjustments to our lives in order to make room for more productive uses of our time and studying how to do something the right way and not the life hack or short cut. So I ran across this artist Spose a few years ago. This guy is laying down so dope as tracks up in Maine in the hip hop scene. Very up beat music with lyrics that are as meaningful as they are tongue in cheek. Check out Knocking on Wood and really think about the lyrics on this one. As always I hope you are doing well out there in podcast listening land. Keep your eyes open and rise in power, my friends.

February 10, 2021 War Pigs - Time to about talk music
Do you listen to music? If you do like music, what is your favorite genre? Rock? Country? Hip Hop? What is your earliest memory about music? I have loved music all my life. It is such an amazing language to perform. The way the notes play nice together or worbble around each other like a bag of cats. The message may not only be in the word you see. The layers of notes and chords entering your ears and frolicking through your synapsis are speaking to your brain. Music can bring about feelings of immense sorrow, as Empty Chairs and Empty Tables does for me. I was never a French revolutionary, but when I was introduced to Les Miserables by my ninth-grade English teacher I was there. I would listen to that entire musical and imagine being on the wall fighting for liberty and freedom from tyranny. It was exhilarating.
Music can also bring great pain and discomfort. Why do you think they blasted heavy metal at Manuel Noriega and a variety of music at the Guantanamo detainees? And if you do not listen to a lot of music, is there any particular reason? Were you exposed to music at an early age? I think most schools have some music programs these days but maybe not always. Does it just bore you? I tend to wonder why I have such a connection to music. Neither of my parents were musicians. But my mother did listen to music. So I've always connected it to that. But as far as playing an instrument, we had a player piano but I don't remember playing it that much. So sit back and let's chat about the wondrous trebles and basses of my favorite art form. Oh, I almost forgot. February 01, 2021 Working Class Citizens - A discussion on corporate wages and worker compensation
Let's face it, it's getting harder to stretch a dollar for most of us. So how in a time when people are losing their jobs and savings are corporations reporting record profits. Why is it that most of the entry-level workers in the United States are unable to earn enough to meet even the most basic of needs and are subsidized by the American taxpayers through government assistance? Yet corporations report record profits and the shareholders rejoice. But what about the ones that report to work every day, through bad weather, illness, transportation issues, a global pandemic and living in scarcity? The ones too afraid to ask for time off to attend PTA meetings or their children's extracurricular activities because if they don't work they don't eat. "Get a second job," they are told by people that have never had to live in a life of scarcity not by choice but by design. We should be able to work to live not live to work. Life was meant to be lived and I don’t think working your life away for less than a basic living seems like the best way to spend it. And don't get me started on the homeless population on the rise. So grab your favorite snack or focus on the road while we discuss just a few of the issues facing our modern industrialized and digitized society.
