Inflation rate hits 30 year high
Inflation continues to run hot with the latest figures from Stats NZ putting the consumer price index at 5.9 percent in the year to December.
The major drivers for annual inflation were housing related, including rents and construction prices, the latter went up 16 percent in the year.
Petrol has gone up 30 percent.
Council of Trade Union's economist Craig Rennie spoke to Māni Dunlop.
