Recession expectations continue unabated, but along with the benefit of having long-term horizons beyond 2022 or 2023, commercial real estate investors continue to see growing returns. While a purely long-term perspective may not be helpful as it relates to the rapid interest rate increases we’ve seen in the past few months, being able to filter out the day-to-day noise can allow investors to take note and react quickly when an inflection point approaches.
