Even worse, was the fact that the message was pre-recorded. The crew reflects on this with some disdain. On a lighter note, Neville tries to deny having a favorite child but Merja and Q quickly poke holes in his argument.

The crews follows up on news from the previous day as the rape accused former teacher made his first appearance in court, pleading not guilty and vowing to counter-sue the 2 complainants, on of whom is a minor. There are also some light jabs at St. Boniface, the country's top performing school for the decade and more, after news emerged that some students and teachers are being investigated in relation to a single subject in the 2020 Grade 11 and 12 examinations.

The crew reflects with disgust the recent case of a teacher raping a pupil on school premises, during school hours, at Jan Mohr Secondary School. We question how this teacher, accused of the same crime in 2013, was still allowed to teach. We also reflect on reporting that Judge President Petrus Damaseb has been busy with plans that will ultimately keep certain court cases closed to the media and general public. This has been met with skepticism from the Law Society of Namibia, with the word unconstitutional being floated around.

President Geingob is set to address the nation on Wednesday. This of course, has everything to do with the accelerating COVID-19 infection rate over the past 14 days or so. We take an extensive look at the pandemic situation in Namibia, with the general consensus being that we will not return o a physical lockdown. Of course #Fishrot enters the fray, with the 7 accused appearing in court on Monday, and the Prosecutor General announcing that 3 more people are set to join them as co-accused. Then we turn to SGBV, with the sad news of a mother murdering 2 of her children, and attempting to murder a third. The crew discusses the taboo and stigma attached to mental illness in the black community.

We start winding down the year, with Neville already on leave. Q and Merja browse the papers and pick out some of the rather noteworthy stories from the weekend. The main focus though, is the announcement by the Prosecutor General that 3 more individuals are set to be arrested in connection with the #Fishrot scandal. This comes as the 7 already charged are set to appear in court today, with the nation waiting in anticipation to see what the courts decide. This ultimately becomes a discussion on prison reform.

Merja is on a sabbatical, ergo, SPORTS! The boys discuss the worthiness of investing yourself emotionally in sports. As much as the love of sports can bring joy and euphoria, it can bring despair as well. The discussion comes on the back of the UCL results from Tuesday night which saw shock losses for Manchester United and Barcelona. But its not all sports, we still find time for the bizarre news of the Prosecutor General applying to re-freeze the assets of Michael Amushelelo and co Monday, after a High Court judge ruled to have the assets unfrozen on Friday.
