As we wrap up our look at the Four Loves, Brandon and AJ close it out with the highest love, agape. This divine love is selfless and unconditional, and also serves as the purifier for the corruptions of the three natural loves. But, with agape being a divine love, how do we try to live it? And how can we teach kids about it?

This week, AJ and Brandon talk about Storge, commonly treated as family love, but better understood as familiar love. How do we understand the tension between this love as being driven by both need and gift?

As we continue looking at CS Lewis' 4 Loves, this week Brandon starts by admitting he isn't really looking forward to talking about Eros, probably the most consistently abused of the four. Whether we're comfortable talking about it with our kids or not, we can't really afford to let the world be their first source of information about it.

Following our talk last week about viewing our relationship with God as friendship, AJ and Brandon start looking at the virtue of love using CS Lewis' Four Loves as the starting point. This week, it's friendship, of philia.

Brandon shares his discomfort with hearing God described simply as a friend to his daughter, leading he and AJ to discuss the pros and cons of some of the images of God we use, and specifically how to approach teaching children about how to have a healthy relationship with God.

It seems like we only ever talk about justice in terms of punishment, retribution, and repayment. This week, AJ and Brandon talk about the bigger sense of justice as something for correction and even reward, using the example of how God, in His justice, guides and educates His people.

Recognize that God is calling you. He isn't concerned with your past mistakes. He isn't concerned with your insecurities and shortcomings. God is calling. How are you going to respond?
