We're taking a bit of a break this week from the Insanity Check but that doesn't mean we don't have anything for you. Kriss talks to L Joy Williams from Sunday Civics about getting more people involved and increasing civic engagement. She talks about the civic engagement booth she was going to run at Universal FanCon and what she's doing to help at the grassroots level to get more people involved.

Fifty-Two.

That's how many people were listed on the about page for Universal FanCon. A lot of them (not all) are silent as to why a fan convention that took in almost $57,000, has been planned for two years and was scheduled to start NEXT WEEK was suddenly canceled leaving fans, guests, vendors and others wondering how this got to this point. Kriss is joined by Justin from 3FifsPodcast (who was going to have a panel at Universal FanCon) to discuss the audacity and complete bullshit behind this clusterfuck.

Kriss brings on fellow friends and podcasters Phenom from Where's My 40 Acres and Rod & Karen from The Black Guy Who Tips to celebrate 16th seed UMBC beating #1 seed UVA in the Men's NCAA Tournament...

Oh and they also talk about 600 episodes of the Insanity Check, being in the podcast game for 8-10 years and sharing their keys to success and other advice for those who are currently podcasting and those looking to get into it. They talk about what go them into podcasting, the biggest lessons they've learned, when they knew they were successful and what advice they think podcasters need to know.

We're one episode away from the 600th Insanity Check. But before that, Kriss is running a gauntlet of podcasting with 7 days straight of podcasting and what better way to bring that run to a close than with the person he talks to most with: Host of the Unanimous Decision Podcast, Dpalm

Look the world didn't end with Dpalm being a guest this week but you know we can never just do a regular show. So we threw out the show notes and we covered a bunch of random (but oddly related things) from the Oscars still having a problem with black movies to Michael Steele realizing his party is racist to the stupidity with the "gun debate".  We even throw in some comic book talk. Like I said, we were all over the place but it was a great show so make sure you subscribe and listen.
