Two episodes in the same month. Maybe we really are back. Kriss is joined by Justin and as promised, we bring good news in a sea of dumb shit: The Clipse are back with a great motivational coke raps album. With everything going on it's good to see some legends come back with an album that not only feels like they never left but is clearly a passion for them.

If only everything else was that simple. We dive into the idiocy that is our politics and how conspiracy theory and bad faith argument seem to mean more to people than common sense. The MAGA "Civil War" over the Epstein cases is stupid for so many reasons, mainly that these idiots would rather focus on conspiracies over the very obvious and real things that are happening. It's just a reminder of how chaotic our world is.

We also preview a topic for a future show: A.I. and our use is getting dumber and dumber.

What better thing to bring Kriss out of his cave than Trump and the GOP passing a bill that lies to people about the tax cuts they were promised, gives wealthy Americans way more in deductions, cuts Medicaid and makes ICE the most well funded federal law enforcement agency all while adding $3-4 Trillion to the deficit. Fantastic.

While everyone is talking about Democrat vs Republicans, Capitalism vs Socialism vs Communism, no one is talking about the reality that: People just fucking suck and take no responsibility or care not about anything beyond their own desires. And terrible people know this. Take the "Big Beautiful Bill" and the insidious way that key provisions are phased in or out around key election dates.

Medicaid cuts weirdly enough don't start until after the 2026 mid-terms

The "no tax on tips/overtime/social security" (which are just deductions and not what they seem) phase out in 2028

There's a lot more to go over and Kriss talks about it with Ro.

One last Insanity Check for 2024. Kriss and Ro pop in to talk about the pyramid schemes of tech bros that have convinced the population:

That they're smart when they're in fact idiots

Leading us down the most stupid path possible

We were promised a Star Wars future but instead we're getting one closer to Blade Runner. Oh joy. Tech bros have priced the average American out of technology innovations, corrupted the useful potential of AI (Kyle Reese would be so disappointed in us) and convinced everyone that if they just work harder...they too can be a billionaire.

Oh and Kriss introduces Ro to the idiocy that is Turo and people's really bad business decisions.

Kriss said the Insanity Check is back and well, there's now 2 in less than a week. Because...podcasting is cheaper than therapy.  Dpalm got tricked into joinig into the mess. Enjoy

There's only one thing that would bring Kriss and the Insanity Check back from podcast retirement and that's the absolutely insanity that is the spitefulness, dumbness and racism that would elect Trump a second time...giving him not only the popular vote but the Senate and House. All because of racism, sexism and the fact that the average American has the thought process & attention span of a 15 year old on TikTok.

Ro and Brandon join Kriss as they talk about the complete stupidity of the "American People" when it comes to not understanding their own finances, how the economy works and why Trump's initial picks for coveted cabinet positions are even worse than the first term.

The one moment of Zen/happiness is The Onion completing the troll of Alex Jones and buying InfoWars in auction.

This is cheaper than therapy so the Insanity Check will be coming back on a more regular frequency (TBD). No premium content. No donations. No notes. Just

I told you all that you would never know when I would drop another Insanity Check and well…here we are. I was able to convince DPalm to join me so you know that means it was a crazy ass week. It’s also very clear that I’m too old for this shit. We’ve come full circle. I lived through the DotCom bubble only to see idiots going down the Web3.0/Crypto/NFT grift. Fun times. Anyway, there’s plenty to chat about. So give it a listen and stay tuned cause you never know when the next episode will come.
