Our book review of the week is Mythos by Stephen Fry, a wonderful take on how to tell a rather old and usually dull tale in an entertaining and engaging manner. It's perfect for people across all demographics, as the Gods battle problems they love creating themselves.
favorite parts of the book
formation of centaurs (hera and zeus and the human who just wouldn't repent)
the invention of wine (Dionysus and wine being invented/ appearing from his dead lover)
names we took from the greeks
the invention of ancient medicine/ apollos rage
sexual promiscuity of the gods
Zeus is the bumbling hero who seems to explain a lot about our current human condition/predicament
the power of curses ( Cadmus and the water dragon)
the origin of mankind and the different colours we were designed in
Prometheus and his love for humans
Stephen fry- telling you a funny yet comforting story, like with the flaying of Marsyas and its alternate ending
