A fourth day of fighting between Israel and Hamas has left more people dead, with estimates of the death toll at least 1,700. As one Israeli military spokesman put it, the carnage is unimaginable, comparing what soldiers are discovering to something from a zombie movie. The president confirmed today that 14 Americans have been killed and a number are also being held hostage. Today, family members of some of the missing Americans held a news conference pleading for help. And the Israeli ambassador said to the United Nations that between 100 and 150 people are being held hostage by Hamas, including babies. Hamas has vowed if Israel's counterattack continues, they will start executing hostages on live TV. Might it be possible to negotiate their release or stage a rescue? Jim Moret spoke with a former hostage negotiator with the Israeli Army. Plus, we live in a world of "see something, say something." Well, one guy did just that when he saw what he thought was a fire blazing inside an apartment. But when the fire trucks got there – all five of them – things were not as they seemed. And yesterday, we heard from a woman who says she's been stalked for years by a pilot. Today, we catch up with the accused man as he heads to court.
