If I suddenly became the general manager of the Indiana Colts, would I trade Carson Wentz and Quenton Nelson?  Yes to one, no to the other!  What free agents would I target?  Who is my left tackle?  And what about the draft - who looks sweet and ready to be a championship contributor?

Chris Ballard has to fill three holes without a current plug on the roster - and another at quarterback.  Where will he find answers at left tackle, tight end, and wide receiver?

The Hoosiers are reeling - again - but tap the brakes on calls to replace Mike Woodson!

Pacers found a way to go into the All-Star Break on a winning note, and that success needs to stop!

Two pieces to the Colts quarterback puzzle - Wentz goes is easy, but who the upgrade is to replace him is tough.  There are maybe 12 QBs who would be an obvious step up.  Who among them is a reasonable target?

Indiana took on transfer and others left - how are the former Hoosiers faring at their new homes?  Are they shooting better from beyond the arc than Xavier Johnson?  The answer is surprising.

Pacers with their final chance to fall to the fourth worst NBA record heading into the All-Star Break tonight against Washington!

Chris Ballard's belief in inside-out roster building was not shared by the Rams who balanced inside and outside very nicely.  Where does improvement need to start?

Indiana can't shoot or play with discipline against Wisconsin - not a recipe for success last night, or ever.  Four straight losses put Hoosiers on the Bubble.

Butler beats DePaul in Chicago despite injuries.  Pacers losing way to the top of the Draft?  Giannis with fitty last night to dwarf Hield's 36!

Hoosiers lacked discipline and shooting, and that is a bad combination against a Wisconsin team that grinds and grinds opponents for 40 minutes.  Wasting possessions will get you beat against Wisconsin, and IU wasted plenty.  Back to the drawing board with five games to go in the regular season.

Colts offseason primer - not personal about Carson Wentz and Quenton Nelson; it's business! Chris Ballard and Frank Reich seats still very cool.  Most pressing needs other than quarterback are left tackle (Colts do not have one on the roster) and WR/TE!

Indiana is still solid in ESPN's Bracketology for the NCAA Tournament, but need a win tonight, or the Hoosiers will move onto the Bubble!

Indiana is favored by 3 1/2 tonight against Wisconsin at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.  The Badgers can't shoot, but they sure hold onto the ball.

Butler should win tonight at DePaul - and the Pacers will compete in Milwaukee.

Tamika Catchings stepped down yesterday as the GM of the Indiana Fever.  Tamika is one of the best people in sports, but there is no escaping the Fever's failures during her time as GM.

If Jim Irsay told Chris Mortensen and Jason La Canfora that Carson Wentz is gone - Carson Wentz is gone!  The free agent pool is shallow enough for toddlers to splash safely, so who is a candidate for the sixth different opening day starter in six seasons?

The NFL salary cap is complicated, so I break it down in a way every adult can understand.

Why won't ESPN, Fox Sports, and BTN hire an Indiana grad to be a college basketball analyst - how about Dan Dakich for instance!

Carson Wentz will be traded or released by Colts prior to March 18th, according to reports.  Time has come to finally get the QB position right.  Rams and Bengals show path to championship.  Bengals had a choice in the '21 draft - WR JaMarr Chase or OL Penei Sewell.  They took Chase!  Lions took Sewell!

Sasha Stefanovic stars as Purdue beats Maryland by one on phenomenal final defensive stand.

Tyrese Haliburton and Jalen Smith shine as Pacers lose again to fall closer to success!
