The countdown to the 2026 Bathurst 1000 is on, with Mount Panorama set to host a blockbuster featuring 26 cars, fierce Enduro Cup stakes, and a field split across Ford, Chevrolet and Toyota as the Supra makes its Bathurst debut. Fans have already tipped Chaz Mostert and Fabian Coulthard as early favourites, while Brodie Kostecki/Todd Hazelwood and Cam Waters/Mark Winterbottom loom as major threats but will Penrite Racing continue their impressive form and take a 2nd Bathurst 1000 in a Row. The Bend 500 delivered a wild mix of torrential rain, strategy chaos and late race composure as Chaz Mostert and Fabian Coulthard powered Walkinshaw TWG to a landmark victory, giving Toyota its first endurance win in Supercars. Coulthard kept the Mobil 1 Optus entry upright through the monsoon like opening stints before Mostert took control on slicks, pulling clear to an 18 second triumph. Kai Allen and Tim Slade impressed with a bold run to second, while Ryan Wood and Jaxon Evans completed a fairytale 1-3 for Toyota. Will Brown and Scott Pye charged to fourth despite penalties, and Matt Payne's sixth place was enough to hand him the championship lead heading to Bathurst.
