Hello Dave was accidentally formed at Eastern Illinois

University.  Set on being a

veterinarian at the time, founder Mike Himebaugh learned to play the guitar and

thought that being a musician would be a lot more fun.  Their ‘Chicago Twang’ style soon earned

them many fans and they took their show on the road, playing all over the

Midwest, and the crowds can’t help but to get up and dance.  They still play about a hundred and

forty shows a year, but their big break came when they were featured on the

2009 Kenny Chesney Sun City Carnival Tour.  We caught up with the guys to see what makes them so

popular.

Siblings Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry are The Band

Perry.  A pretty easy name to come

up with if you ask me.  The trio is

originally from Mobile, Alabama, and had been writing and performing together

for years before catching the ear of Big Machine’s Scott Borchetta.  Scott immediately signed them to his

new Republic Nashville last summer. 

Now with a new album available and a top 20 hit under their belts, we

caught up with them on the set of their latest music video.

Tim McGraw starred in the first

Flicka motion picture, but when it was time to make the sequel, the producers

asked Clint Black to step in.  The

movie premiered at Nashville’s Belcourt Theater with a star-studded lineup and

a rather large check presentation for Children’s Miracle Network. The new movie

by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is now on store shelves only in

Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club, so make sure you pick up a copy soon.  It’s another heartwarming movie that is

very family friendly.

After co-writing ‘I’ll Give My All,’ Jamie got the 82nd

Airborne Chorus to come to the Black River Music Group’s studios here in

Nashville to cut the tracks.

Lonestar first emerged on

the Billboard charts fifteen years ago with ‘Tequila Talkin.’  Since then, they’ve had 27 singles on

the charts, with ten of them hitting number one, including ‘Amazed’ and ‘I’m

Already There,’ both of which crossed over onto other charts.  Now the group has a new disc ‘Party

Heard Around The World’ and their first single is definitely something people

can relate to. For the first time ever, the band did just about everything for

this project.  They produced it and

wrote most of the songs.  Now they

are out on the road supporting their new project. 

The BamaJam Music and Arts Festival is going on this week in

Enterprise, Alabama.  Putting on a

show like this takes tons of hard work and preparation to be ready for fifty

artists or groups, which this year includes Kenny Chesney and Hank Williams,

Jr.  We sat down with the executive

director of the event to see what it takes to put a show like this in motion.

‘Letters to God’ is a new

movie that is inspired by a true story of an eight-year-old boy dealing with

brain cancer.  Through his letters

to God in the form of prayers, this little boy lifts the spirits and changes

the lives of those around him.  Now

in thousands of movie theaters nationwide, this film is a story of cancer and a

story of hope.  The red carpet

premiere was held at the Regal Green Hills cinema in Nashville, 

The Dove Awards are the

premiere awards show when it comes to Christian and gospel music.  They identify and award the top acts

each year in that genre of music. 

Here in Music City, USA, we pride ourselves on being in the center of

country music, but of course there’s much more to Nashville than that.  The Dove Awards are just one example of

the very talented people and other genres of music that we have here in

Nashville.
