Ashlyne Huff has music in her blood.  With several family members in the music business, including her father, a highly sought-after producer, it’s no wonder she ended up in the business herself.  After graduating from Nashville’s Belmont University, she began working on her album, either writing or co-writing every track on the new project.  We caught up with Ashlyne at her final rehearsal before hitting the road with Honor Society and Just Kait. 

The TJ Martell Foundation supports innovative groundbreaking research for leukemia, cancer and AIDS.  At the 2010 Honors Gala, major supporters of the foundation were honored in Nashville.  Honorees included Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen, surgeon and former Senator Bill Frist, Brooks and Dunn, and several others.  We caught up with a few of the honorees before the big event.

When you first hear the song ‘Why Don’t We Just Dance,’ it’s easy to see why it hit the number one spot on the charts.  The catchy tune is a fun, upbeat song that spent four weeks at the top spot. This is Josh’s third number one hit, and at four weeks is the longest he’s spent at the top of the charts.  It’s also the first single off his latest ‘Haywire’ album. We headed to a party at Nashville’s Cabana Lounge to celebrate that feat with Josh and the hit songwriters.

program.  Several high-profile

artists donated their time to support our veterans.  This program offers military veterans and their family

members an undergraduate degree tuition-free or a graduate degree at a greatly

reduced tuition rate at Nashville’s Lipscomb University.

As part of Nashville’s

Muzik Mafia, Gretchen Wilson is one of a handful of artists that was able to go

from relative obscurity to country star in a very short time.  Her first single ‘Redneck Woman’ spent

six weeks at the top of the charts, and her debut album ‘Here For The party’

sold over five million copies. 

She’s won countless awards and performs her live Southern Rock and

country shows many times a year. Gretchen has certainly overcome many obstacles

in her life, and we applaud her for that. 

Kelly Lynn sat down with Gretchen at her home studio to talk about the

release of ‘I Got Your Country Right Here’ on her very own Redneck Records.
