One of the most frequent questions I get is 'How can I stop bouncing up and down the Mental Fitness Continuum so much?!'
In this episode I explain why we bounce up and down, how to do it far less and how to become 'Unfuckwithable'.
There's a reason I get teary eyed in the introduction; this man changed my life in an hour. I was at the absolute bottom of the Continuum and in 'Severe Discomfort' when I first went to John. He got me. And then gave me the tools to start digging myself out.
We talk about how to find a good therapist, how we can change the world in regards to mental health and some simple, practical tips to reduce stress, anger and anxiety.
When you start any sort of relationship, your souls, or subconscious, creates an unspoken contract with that person. But what happens when one person changes, grows, evolves and the other person doesn't? The contract has been changed and needs to be renegotiated.

Apparently, they call these 'Pillar Episodes'. The MFC is the core I what I teach. It's my understand of how it all works and how we live our lives. Understand this and we have the play book to be able to keep ourselves happy and healthy. All that's left to do after that is the hard part, doing the work...
No one has done more for my Mental Fitness than Sally Caldwell. Fullstop.
Sally and I talk about how to journey together, how to become psychologically safe and some practical ways to move yourself up the Mental Fitness Continuum.
The majority of visits to EAP (Employee Assistance Program) in NZ are for 'Relationships' outside work. When I saw that I realised that every third episode of this podcast needed to be about just that. So in the 'Relationship' episodes my wife, Libby Grace, and I will talk about different aspects of relationships. This one is an intro to us and what makes our relationship work so well...
When I surveyed all of you the consensus was that the first episode should be a broad overview of who I am and what this is all about. So here you are... Some background and some chat on fear, why I trashed 10 episodes I made 2 years ago and what finally made me start this podcast.
Just a quick intro to who I am and what to expect from this podcast over time.
