South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori was the story of the NFL Scouting Combine over the weekend and very likely will be the latest Gamecocks defensive back drafted in the first round in April's NFL Draft. The 6-foot-3, 228-pound freak athlete, who also is a versatile, standout football player (not just a good tester), will be hard to replace. But JC Shurburtt points out that Gamecocks defensive backs coach Torrian Gray has coached players like Emmanwori before and if you look at the Classes of 2025 and 2026 you will find a lot of players with similar builds and upside.
