QSR Avoids Drive-Thru Congestion by Putting the Drive-Thru on the Customers Device
We’ve all been there. We’re hungry, choose our favorite fast-food joint, and the drive-thru is packed. Six deep and moving slowly.
Why didn’t we use the mobile app ahead of time? Maybe it was a spur-of-the-moment decision. Perhaps we couldn’t time it out right. Or maybe that app is just cumbersome to order on.
Long lines at quick-serve restaurants, at the counter, or in the drive-thru are the antithesis of what the name suggests and the expected experience.
The drive-thru isn’t going anywhere, nor should it. So, what can QSRs do to mitigate this challenge? Put the drive-thru in the hands of every customer they have. The same reason the drive-thru persists over time is why it is imperative to bring that same experience to the customer’s device: it’s easy, intuitive, and works.
