David Curtiss, USA National teamer and NC State freshman, announced today that he has inked deals with TYR and GoSwim. David finished 6th at 2021 US Olympic Trials in the 50 Free. He is one of Team USA's up and coming sprint studs.

South African teenager Matthew Sates joins us on the LIVE show to discuss his WJR breaking swims in Berlin!
At the first stop of the FINA World Cup in Berlin, Matt Sates broke 2x SCM World Junior Records: the Men's 200 IM (23.90/28.45/32.21/26.89) and 200 Freestyle (23.58/25.93/25.63/25.51), breaking Daiya Seto and Kliment Kolesnikov's records.
This summer, at the Tokyo Olympics, Sates placed 13th in the 200 IM and 32nd in the 100 Fly. He swims for Wayne Riddin at Seals Swimming Club in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. He has committed to swim for the University of Georgia.
Brett and Nate also discuss Clarie Curzan's decision to swim at Stanford, Femke Heemskerk retiring at the end of the ISL season, and our visit to UVA.

Laura Sogar didn't make the Olympics in swimming, but does have the guts to get on stage and tell jokes. The 2013 NCAA Champion in the Women's 200 Breast for the University of Texas, Sogar no longer swims but she does make people laugh.

Greg Bennett is a 2x Australian Olympian (2004, 2008) and former professional triathlete for nearly 30 years. Greg has competed in over 500 triathlons winning the ITU World Series twice. He is the host of, The Greg Bennett Show, a podcast focused on triathlon.
Greg has a strong understanding of the science behind training, which you will hear in this interview. Another Australian, another physiology focused nerd. Brett, being a novice to triathlon, asks a lot of simple questions that you probably have, too.
Triathlon became an NCAA sport in 2014. There are now 37 universities with NCAA Triathlon teams. Many swimmers have been able to transition over into triathlon. Andy Potts from Michigan and Matt Chrabot from George Mason come to mind.

Eddie Reese is the Head Coach of the Men's Swimming & Diving team at the University of Texas. He arrived in Austin, circa 1978, after 6 seasons at the helm of Auburn University. Since then, the Men's Swimming & Diving team at the University of Texas has won forty-two (42) straight Conference Championships and amassed fifteen (15) NCAA Championships.

Rocco Meiring is an Olympic gold medal winning swim coach from South Africa. He coaches Tatjana Schoenmaker, the Tokyo Olympic Champion and the fastest woman in the history of the world in the Women's 200 Breaststroke LCM (2:18.95). Tatjana's training partner, Kaylene Corbett, came 6th in that same race.

Prior to this, Coach Rocco was already a legend. In 1997, he became South Africa's first National Coaching Director at the University of Pretoria -- he is still at the University today. His impact on swimming in South Africa is second to none.

Braden Holloway is the Head Coach of NC State Swimming & Diving. This summer, he celebrated his 10th anniversary leading the Wolfpack.
NC State has become the cream of the crop in the ACC. Eight times Braden has been named ACC Coach of the Year and eight times they've won ACC team titles. The Wolfpack has produced 7 individual NCAA Champions as well as 6 National Champion relay teams.
At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Ryan Held won an Olympic gold medal as part of Team USA's 4x100 Freestyle Relay. Coleman Stewart just recently broke the WR in the 100 Back SCM swimming for the Cali Condors.
Braden and his wife, Mary Mittendorf, both swam at NC State. They have 4 kids.
