In this episode I speak about losing my identity after becoming a mother. I didn’t know who I was or what I should be doing but I felt there was always something bigger. After starting my business supporting women with their accounts I knew my passion was there but until I created Inspire and Connect, couldn’t see how. It's so important for all of us to reconnect with who we are, what our purpose and passion is in life. Being a mother doesn’t define us it’s a role we have as part of this amazing journey.

Caroline Strawson is a multi award winning EMDR & Rapid Transformational Therapist. She helps people clear past trauma that is stuck in the body and upgrade faulty subconscious beliefs. She specialises in PTSD, complex PTSD and narcissistic abuse leading clients to achieve post traumatic growth.

In this episode we speak about Caroline’s journey and using her past experience of being in an abusive relationship to now supporting people with trauma they face in their life. We discuss what trauma is and how most people go through some sort of trauma in their life even if they don’t recognise it as that. Caroline discusses some of the science behind this and what can support you in healing from this trauma

As a white woman i need to do more. It's not enough to say "I am not racist", i need to take action and be anti-racist. I have black friends, clients, leaders with I&C and people within my community. I want to tell them i can see and hear them by talking about it and educating people in any way that i can

I am not an expert by any means, far from it but we all have to start somewhere and stop putting it off or ignoring it because it makes us feel uncomfortable. This will bring up fears, worry, anxiety and every emotion you can think of but it needs to be done

In this episode I speak to Fay Smith to discuss what white people need to be educated on, the difficulties faced in black communities, how change will happen and what is going on in the world at the moment with the riots and coronavirus. Fay shares some stories with us and helps myself and others to make change
