IntegratED With Jamie Palmer - A podcast for online entrepreneurs

For the anniversary of our 16th year in business, I wanted to have each member of my team join me on the podcast to share all about themselves and how they impact the team! Jesse handles the technical side of the business like website creation and also oversees our whole Done for You side. He had originally gone to school for video game programming but quickly figured out that he didn’t like it and ended up joining the OMG team working on websites.

Today I want to talk to you about fear. This is a really important message and I felt called to talk about this on the podcast. A client of mine had a lot fear about putting herself out there on the Internet and she was afraid that it wasn’t going to work. When you have all this head trash and turbulence around your business, it can be hard to move past. I see this a lot in my field, where people are completely overwhelmed with the thought of putting themselves out there for everyone to see.

September marks my 16th year in business and all month long I'm going to be coming at you with amazing content in an effort to keep you moving forward toward your goals in business. There is a huge problem in the online industry today....want to know what it is? No one is looking at the big picture. All these gurus are giving you just a piece of the puzzle, a snippet, just one slice of all the pieces you need to be successful.

There are 112 days left in 2019 and you're not where you wanted to be! I hear this all the time. There’s STILL 112 days left and the world can change massively in that time if you get focused. Many times, we set out in the beginning for the year with this ridiculously long list that we wanted to achieve and once fall rolls around we realize that we’re not where we want to be. I’ve been there and so have a ton of my clients.

I get asked a lot how I’ve grown the OMG business to multi-six figures a year and how I did it so rapidly. It hasn’t been rapid by any means and I would say that for the first few years I suffered from the DIY-mindset (aka thinking it was faster to do everything myself). We have fear and a lot of emotions that pop up when we bring on team members. Most of us see our business as our baby and it becomes super hard for us to delegate and to know what to delegate.

Who else gets back into school mode in September, even though you’re not going to school? I’m forever learning because I’m constantly reading, listening to podcasts, and watching documentaries. In the summer, I tend to get out of a normal routine because the kids are home and I’ve decided to work less and be more intentional with my time. The more I learn about some of the most successful entrepreneurs, the more I can figure out the keys to continuing to grow your business.

My kids go back to school today and it’s always a bittersweet time for me. September always seems like a new beginning. September brings up a bunch of emotions for me in terms of where I’m going, where I’ve come from, and where I’m heading. Time got away from me, especially in August and it took me away from the work that I wanted to get done. I share this with you because it’s September! It’s time to really start thinking about what it is that you want to accomplish between now and the end of t

You need to get out of your own way. I have so many clients that come to me and are in the weeds of their business. They’re stuck in a small business mindset, for lack of a better term. They want to move forward but they just can’t seem to get out of their own way to do so. They’re subconsciously staying on the hamster wheel out of fear of failure, fear of success, and fear of the unknown.
