On this episode I switch things up and host the first ever panel discussion on Intellectual Erection, featuring Kit, Cecilia Morrell, and Ace Allure, talking about being Littles in the DDGL/CGL communities.

Kit, Cecilia Morrell, and Ace, have all been on Intellectual Erection before in independent episodes, but now they’ve joined forces in a panel on one of the most taboo topics in the sex positive communities—DDLG/CGL—Daddy Dom Little Girl, or the more recent and inclusive title Caregiver & Little. We talk about what it means to be a little, what makes a good daddy, we play some games to find out who’s the brattiest of the bunch, and get into some heavy philosophical entanglements with the ethics of age play, incest play, and how to engage these dynamics in a healthy way.

On this episode I speak with professional Dominatrix Lady Delphine about her academic paper on pro domming titled “The Labor of Pleasure and Pain: Exploring Intimacy and the Therapeutic Aspect of Professional BDSM Through Emotional Labor”

Lady Delphine discusses her Masters paper on the intersections of sex work, emotional labour, and therapeutic elements of BDSM. She discusses the importance of destigmatizing sex work and standing in solidarity with other sex workers as a professional dominatrix to avoid reinforcing a whorearchy. Her paper also theorizes emotional labour in sex work and the therapeutic effects of BDSM with important critiques for treating professional BDSM as therapy. We also discuss issues with race play and then end off with some raunchy stories involving food.

On this episode I speak with William Lavinia about the social construction of gender, undergoing hormone replacement therapy, and what it’s like to experience life with high testosterone.

Will not only challenges the normative notions of gender but also those of biological sex, or what some folks call sex assigned at birth. It’s a difficult task challenging the hegemonic scientific status quo while also feeling like you have to defend your identity—but this is the lived experience of many humans outside the gender binary. Will discusses hormone replacement therapy and the effects of testosterone both on the body and on behaviour. We also talk about healthy and toxic masculinity and how to exercise the taboos of masculinity in BSDM.

On this episode I speak with Nurse Erica about all the sexually transmitted infections, safer sex practices, and misconceptions about sexual health.

Erica has been a sexual health nurse for over three years and now works in public health policy as well as working with people living with HIV/AIDS. With a lot of experience and a ton of facts, Erica offers a rundown of some of the most important bits of knowledge you ought to have about sexual health, proper use of barriers like condoms, safer sex practices, and sexually transmitted infections. In the midst of it we throw in some personal stories, laughs, and discuss serious breaches of consent like stealthing—if you don’t know what it is, listen up!

On this episode I speak with Farely about his experiences navigating the intersections of love, sex, and polyamory with ADHD.

Farely has done some ADHD advocacy in the past and he misses the days when he could talk about his disorder with the aim to help others. He takes this opportunity to discuss the intricacies of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, the diverse symptomology, and how it affects him personally. What is it like having to deal with scattered memory and forgetfulness? What’s it like being medicated? How to deal with being impulsive. Farley opens up about how ADHD affects sex drive and diverse sexual needs. For him, polyamory was a way to better meet those needs in an ethical way without recourse to cheating, guilt, and shame.
