  • Pastel Supernova Blows your Mind
On this episode I speak with burlesque performer extraordinaire, Pastel Supernova. She whispers some intimacies on the behind the scenes Pastel to arouse intrigue while leaving enough mystery to lust for more.
This feline woman weaves seduction into every word as she speaks melodiously about her onstage persona. You get to hear the best of both worlds. The soft-spoken Pastel, who endearingly divulges little hints about her offstage self and the explosive Supernova who wants you to remember her performance for when you’re home alone. Her mellifluent voice will undoubtedly arouse your interest and desire to experience one of her shows—and you will not be disappointed. Not only is her show meant to turn you on, but it’s also Pastel’s foreplay into what she describes as transcendental sex. She blends her dancing with the erotic to infuse herself with an energy that she brings into the bedroom—creating a seamless experience from the stage to behind the scenes, the imaginary to the real, the buildup to the release. Your job is to sit and watch, or in this case listen, and perhaps you’ll also find a transcendental link to the erotic in your life.

  • Stephie Scarlet Let'er be your Fantasy
On this episode I speak with Stephie Scarlet, a triple threat—cam model, porn star and producer, and a full-service sex-worker. She’s here to fill you in…on everything to do with her work and how it will fulfill your fantasies.
Stephie got into sex-work because she wanted to explore her kinks, fetishes, and desires with people that were interested in playing with her. As a trans woman, finding ethical play partners isn’t always easy, but for Stephie, sex-work helped her take control and manage the often murky waters of stigma, fetishization, passability, and marginalization. So if you want to fetishize this trans woman, you can, but you gotta pay for it and it’ll be under her conditions. We discuss the politics of trans pornography, sex-work, and identity. Then, Stephie shares some very kinky and erotic stories from her experiences on cam, in porn, and at sex-worker sex parties—that’s right, they exist! And, you can find out how to potentially attend—if you’re good!

  • Ashley the Curious Puppy Boy
On this episode I speak with Ashley, the curious puppy boy. She’s gender-bending your expectations while living her most authentic life navigating the sex positive communities with the love of her life.
Coming out is only the beginning of her story. Since high school, Ashley has pushed the envelope to allow herself the liberty to be who she wants to be. She was the first person in her high school to come out and took on an onslaught of homophobia, but paved the way for others to feel safe coming out as well. Since then, she’s dropped her femme look an adopted a more androgynous appearance, but maintains that there’s still a strong femme submissive inside that needs attention. Her current partner has provided the space for Ashely to explore new relationship dynamics in polyamory, new kinks, fetishes, and fantasies that subvert the restrictions of categorical sexuality. Overall, we discuss liberation and limitations within the gay community, with adopting certain identities, and with exploring one’s sexuality, kinks, and fetishes.

  • Chantelle Ivanski: Sex Reseacher studies Sex Positivity
On this episode I speak with sex researcher Chantelle Ivanski, author of the article Exploring definitions of sex positivity through thematic analysis. Her research aims to define and understand sex positivity.
Have you actually thought at length about what sex positivity means? How do you define it? Chantelle has been researching sex positivity in order to get a working definition for psychological studies on the topic. Her aim is to create a sex positivity scale for research. One particular area of interest is whether people can become more sex positive through education on the subject, and this scale would help measure those results. Chantelle and I talk at length about definitions of sex positivity and sex negativity. Where these concepts came from. How they operate historically and now. We discuss her paper, the survey she employed to her participants, and the results. I also took the survey and we discuss my answers compared to her sample from the study.

  • Boon Ong: Intimacies of Nude Photography
On this episode I speak with Boon Ong of Boon Ong Figuratif Photography, an intimate lifestyle photographer seeking to liberate himself and his subjects by highlighting the vulnerabilities and intimacies that reside at the core of taboo.
Boon came to Canada to pursue his parent’s dreams of becoming an engineer. Along his journey he fell in love with photographing nude art, and soon nude subjects. When he began publishing his work, he got a call from his mother in Malaysia, calling him a disgrace. It didn’t deter him, because there was something deeper he needed to expose—himself. Nude photography helped him come out and find his freedom. The exposition of the taboo enables the liberty to live a life often considered taboo. Boon says we all have closets, so maybe what he does is peek inside to bring some light to the darkness. He helps unravel the intimate lifestyles of humans in their sacred space. He doesn’t have an idealistic mission, but he does have a story.

  • Isla & Ruby: Sex-Work is a Matriarchy
On this episode I speak with Isla and Ruby, your friendly neighbourhood full-service sex-workers. They’re here to tell you how they found liberation through sex-work—from toxic relationships and environments to an empowered sisterhood.
Isla is young, away from home, and about to get married, when she realizes there must be more to life than this. She’s already been making some money doing online sex-work, when, enter Ruby, she’s introduced to the possibilities available through full-service sex-work. Ruby had been working through an agency and showed Isla the ropes, a sort of mentorship. Eventually, Ruby went off to do independent sex-work and Isla has remained with the agency for the community and experience. They’re both good friends and here to share their individual takes on sex-work. Isla talks about what it’s like being an asexual woman of colour and a sex-worker, and Ruby discusses her invisible physical disabilities and how they intersect with her sex-work. Together, they have found ways to help one another and advocate for healthy and informed ways to enter the matriarchy of sex-work.

  • Remedy Moore: Confessions of a Sex-Positive Mother
On this episode I speak with Remedy Moore, a sex-positive mom navigating polyamory, burlesque, and parenthood. Have you ever felt fragmented, like you live separate lives? Imagine being a burlesque performer with a day job while trying to navigate your sexuality and be a good parent.
Remedy Moore has embraced ethical sluthood since high school, realizing early on that monogamy wasn’t going to cut it for her. Since, she’s explored her sexuality, kinks, and tried various kinds of relationships, before becoming a mother. How does a pansexual, polyamorous, burlesquing mother keep all her identities together? Well, for Remedy it was a matter of simplifying. She decided to transition from polyamorous relationships to a more cohesive monogamish partnership, to focus her energies on herself and her burlesque performances, and to raise a healthy sex-positive child. As a mother, she faces constant challenges and has found some support in the sex-positive communities. Remedy hopes to remove the stigma that a mother cannot be sexy and that a child ought to be sheltered from understanding sexuality.
